Do you have to wear support stockings post-op? Or do you just have to walk around lots? Hope you're healing nicely.
No support stockings, though there is something called a binder which is a lot like a maternity belt and I wore it for a day or two, though only when I walked from my room to the NICU. Now I'm almost off Vicodin (though it was sweet to have a nurse bring it to me on demand every three hours along with ice water) and just relying on ibuprofen.
I heard that if I weren't pumping milk like Bessie I would have had percocet on demand! I heart the painkillers.
Today's plan:
- start to pack up maternity clothes (seriously in the past month I've been through about 100 different sizes)
- call the fetal specialist and cancel my next appointment
- set up traffic school
- change my mailing address
- call California Child Services to see if Noah and Grace qualify for financial assistance.... they do qualify for Social Security but I guess I should wait until I know what their SSNs are before I start going down that road? Or maybe not... which means I need to call their social worker and figure it out.
- I need to buy a lamp for the living room, a table for the living room, a skinny bookshelf for the living room, a carpet for the breakfast nook, a teapot, a food trap for the sink, bottle brush
- begin looking for extra membranes for the breast pump and nursing camisoles. Seriously I need nursing camisoles.
- go to the Apple store and figure out how to make the Mini wireless capable
Ugh. any three of those things accomplished will make me feel like my day is a good one.
