Anyway, in local news, Darryl Stingley died, 29 years after he was paralyzed in a Patriots game. Sounds like he went on to have a good life but he was still on the young side (59).

Cowboy Junkies were live on my radio this morning (live=via digital phone to the local radio station.) God I love Margot Timmins' voice.
I also love the walk/don't walk signals that have a countdown on them. See, there are a couple of sludgy intersections on the commute and it is very easy to get caught on a red in the dang middle of the intersection. But with the countdown, you know whether it's safe to enter the intersection.

Simple things are good. I've been up since forever already. I have to go be Bessie in a few minutes, but Roman, K's dog, is asleep on the bed next to me. It's nice to have another living thing to take care of.
I mean, not just a plant which we also have. But a mammal.
