Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Next time I am in Dallas, I must go see the Janes and their bar.

Everyone must! It is made of awesome. Big comfy couches and chairs. Inside, outside, rooftop. Pool table, basketball. Unlimited music selection on the digital jukebox. Great mix of people. And the Janes!! DH tried to take a picture with my phone, but couldn't figure it out. It may have been the hurricanes consumed.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Ugh. Just read the story about the Iraqi girl who was stoned to death and they caught it on video.

Humans suck.

I just keep reminding myself "Emmet Till Emmet Till Emmet Till". His Mother's bravery and the circulation of those photos in Jet went a long way toward bringing about the end of regular lyncings in America.

move out and draw fire

I was just reading an article in The Economist about how 1/3 of US troops in Iraq think torture is okay, and how the longer you stay in Iraq, the more okay you think horridness is.

Also, 72 soldiers (and marines? don't know) have committed suicide after serving in Iraq.

In happier stuff, Mallory and the Hose

Thanks, Raq. I really needed a picture of Mal this morning. More than anyone here could possibly know.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Are you watering Mal to make him grow? he's really getting big!

And Sean, things still not going well? I'd offer hugs if I thought it would help.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Aww, Mal's such a big boy. What a handsome kid.

Thank you, Trudy. Not so much for the crying at my desk part, but for the reminder that things can change, and sometimes it takes something horrid to spark it.

They can change. And they do change. It seems so unimaginable to us that they'd stone a girl like that... which is only proof of how quickly how much HAS changed.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Afternoon. Am hungover. Had much fun last night though, and very sad I had to go home so I could get up and be here. Doesn't help that I spent the last 15 minutes fielding a complaint about another office. in another city. where I am not.
