Also, one of these days I'd like to, you know, take a vacation that doesn't involve my family.
That's a tricksy transition, one I also struggle with... I have much more leeway now that I have a SO, but it's still a delicate maneuvering. It's hard to be all, "You people are SO NOT RELAXING."
I have to say, being able to go on a vacation that doesn't involve visiting family is going to be one of the perks about living in Michigan.
Now, I can go back to LA or out to Boston or to SF or to Seattle or to ....
AND the added bonus of being able to go to any of these places WITHOUT Em!!
Abandoning your child? horrible mother! Just remember - you leave her with her grandparents and she'll be spoiled, spoiled, spoiled!
Kind of like she is with her Buffista Godparents??? Who send her frilly ballerina purses?? Hee. She and Joe both say thank you, Toddson. MWAH!
Oh, glad it got there! Both of those practically jumped at me DEMANDING to be sent to the Miracleborns!
Haven't been able to wrestle either item away from either person.
Joe just won't put that purse down.
BWAH!
Tell Em when she's grown up she can have a black leather corset purse like Teppy's! and ask Joe if he will PLEASE get to work on the transporter!
Walking may not be enough of a challenge for me, but I'm just too scared to get back on a bike. Too many falls of my own and too many serious injuries (and one death) on bikes for people I know.
I so don't need to hear that! Several of my best friends are doing a 140-mile bike ride this weekend for which I'm doing the volunteer coordinating. This is the 5th year of the ride and it's pretty well organized at this point and we've got 3 motorcycle accompaniests this year which we haven't had before so they should be safer than ever but now I feel like I should ask for some EVERYBODY STAYS SAFE ON THEIR BIKES -ma for this weekend!
I think I'll probably ride it next year. I'll have to get a bike first.
Safe-bike-ma is always readily available, but big groups tend to be fairly safe places, sore muscles and heat exhaustion aside -- the big scary is accidents when you're out on your own.
(PEOPLE! WEAR HELMETS AND LIGHTS AND DORKY BRIGHT COLORS!)
Let me state for the record that 250 words is NOT a paragraph. It is a page, people. And a page should not just be one paragraph.
Stupid English department giving these rigid requirements.
