Spike: Ladies. Come on in. Plenty of blood in the fridge, don't be shy. Dawn: You mean like, real blood? Spike: What do you think? Dawn: Mostly I think, 'Eew!'

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Haven't been able to wrestle either item away from either person.

Joe just won't put that purse down.

Punishingly Intricate

Walking may not be enough of a challenge for me, but I'm just too scared to get back on a bike. Too many falls of my own and too many serious injuries (and one death) on bikes for people I know.

I so don't need to hear that! Several of my best friends are doing a 140-mile bike ride this weekend for which I'm doing the volunteer coordinating. This is the 5th year of the ride and it's pretty well organized at this point and we've got 3 motorcycle accompaniests this year which we haven't had before so they should be safer than ever but now I feel like I should ask for some EVERYBODY STAYS SAFE ON THEIR BIKES -ma for this weekend!

I think I'll probably ride it next year. I'll have to get a bike first.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Safe-bike-ma is always readily available, but big groups tend to be fairly safe places, sore muscles and heat exhaustion aside -- the big scary is accidents when you're out on your own.

(PEOPLE! WEAR HELMETS AND LIGHTS AND DORKY BRIGHT COLORS!)

Mostly lurking...

Let me state for the record that 250 words is NOT a paragraph. It is a page, people. And a page should not just be one paragraph.

Stupid English department giving these rigid requirements.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Now, I can go back to LA or out to Boston or to SF or to Seattle or to ....

Now, now, it's important to ease into this kind of thing. Maybe somewhere closer to home.

Say, isn't Chicago just down the road from you?

move out and draw fire

Note to self: watching the Scottish play right before bed

Which version?

I just started watching S2 of Slings and Arrows so I'm all about the Scottish tragedy right now.

I still have a big scar from a bike tumble I took 4 Memorial Days ago. And that was a light accident.

Of course, I have bandages on knees and elbows right now from wiping out yesterday morning while carrying Mal.

Thanks, amych!

What's very exciting is that our team will go over its fundraising goal and that the ride as a whole is on target to make more than ever this year. Yay! Feeding the People!

And a bunch of my friends and my parents are volunteering and we got a team of Charm City Rollergirls to (wo)man one of the pitstops. Two of the rollergirls are doing the ride as well. And then skating in a bout on Sunday afternoon. They = CRAZY!
