Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You mean that teachers would be fired without being given an opportunity to address the concerns that lead to the end of their employment?

Sorry. Bitter.

No, I hear you. I'm really kind of baffled. She taught mainly 6th grade, which doubtless contributed to the severity of the response...but I have to wonder why there wasn't a probationary period. All I can think is that maybe no one complained until it had gotten so bad that the admin felt that they couldn't salvage the situation with the parents. Still, really unsettling.

ETA:

They never warned her she was out of line?
I don't know. It's all shrouded in confedentiality.

Brenda, again, I don't know the specifics. I do know that my department head (who I adore and trust completely) said that the "list" she saw (where this list came from I have no idea) was pretty significant.

move out and draw fire

You mean school administrators could possibly be asshats?

Sorry. Bitter.

OMGAIMEETACKLEHUG!!!! I haven't seen you since the move!

I'm on my own in this job for the next couple weeks. The guy who was supposed to hold my hand is out of town.

Because his daughter and her roommate came home to interrupt a robbery in progress. The bad guys shot the roommate in the head, and slashed his daughter's throat.

Both women seem like they are going to make full recoveries, thankfully.

He said on the phone, "I'm really sorry I can't be there to walk you around." DUDE!!! I am really sorry I can't be there to make you people chicken soup, and then kick the asses of the people who did this to your family.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I cannot recommend any sports bra more than the DKNY ones--Plei has come over to this side. Honestly, it's standard form, underwire, and has me looking as good as my Wacoal non-sports bras.

Dude. So true. Best under t-shirt bra in history. I need a black one now.

Damn, Raq. That's insane. I'm glad it sounds like they're going to recover, but damn.
