Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Wooo?

More of half a wooo. Wo.

We're back from a long day in the sun. Emmett's tournament team had a practice and then a game with the other tournament team, followed by a barbecue. Gorgeous day for baseball and I brought flowers for the mothers who came out. We drank mimosas and chatted in the bleachers and the kids chased each other hither and yon like a crazed pack of ferret monkeys.

JZ's brother got the Cutest Picture of Matilda Ever. Will post when he sends it to us.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hey, all. Just sitting sweating my my apt, and I just took a shower after doing a little cleaning. Will work on Hamlet and Romeo lessons in a few, and then read, I think.

Fay, love the tat! I was at a friend's bday party last night (and I got so snockered I had to lay down for an hour -- when did my Irish genes betray me and make me a cheap date?! Oh, yeah -- since I got OLD and don't DO ANYTHING much during the school year!) and we were talking about new tats and then I come here and see yours! Excellent!

Happy Mother's Day to all mamis on the board. Damn hard job, but nice to know that there are some hella good mom's out there.

Need to be cheered up? How about...an incredibly infectious laugh?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Well bless.

Ok, hivemind. I need help. DH normally does laundry in our house. He does a reasonable job. Most of the time. Well, he got new burgundy work shirts recently and discovered that they run. My favorite pair of jeans now have a pink butt. I was not happy, but accidents happen. Now he has done it to a second load of clothes and I now have pink marks across two brand new tank tops.

Is there any chance of salvaging these? One of the tanks is white, so I can see bleaching that - but the jeans and the yellow tank? No clue.

I'm so annoyed. Once is an accident. Twice is stupid. Blarg, heck, and frack. Happy Mother's Day to me.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Gronklies, everyone!

Suzi, Rit makes something that is supposed to help: Here is a link to a Yahoo!Answers dealie about it [link]

Laughing baby was too funny. Thank you for sharing, David!

I have finished a pot of coffee. I'm not sure it helped. I may have to make another.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Gronklies.

I just realized I forgot to send in my rent this month. I wrote the check, put it in the envelope, put the envelope on my desk, and left it there. Oops.
