Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Laughing baby was too funny. Thank you for sharing, David!

I have finished a pot of coffee. I'm not sure it helped. I may have to make another.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Gronklies.

I just realized I forgot to send in my rent this month. I wrote the check, put it in the envelope, put the envelope on my desk, and left it there. Oops.

DH called me at work to apologize again for messing up my clothes. I told him about the Color Remover stuff and asked him to look for some. We will see if that helps.

Suzi, I'm glad your DH recognizes that he's done wrong. I'll cross my fingers for a fix.

vw, would a walk or a few jumping jacks help get you moving? Sometimes, getting the blood circulating helps me get the coffee to the right places.

Final exams ended on Friday, and this place is dead, dead, dead. Theoretically, this would be a good week to get stuff done.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

No-more-pink-ma to you, Suzi (that feels wrong somehow...).

My presentations are done. It was a really really huge success. I had several people approach me about consulting, which felt so good. I knew I was good, but it felt nice to have strangers (who have familiarity with the type of work I do) think I'm great. Also, since my long-term goal is to consult, I felt validated in that, too. Yay! Now I go to the actual conference and try to shove some schoolwork in at some point.

Happy belated Mother's Day to all you mommies out there!

DH ended up with his fair share of pink socks. I just realized that the shirt I put on this morning has a pink spot on it. Sigh. That is what I get for getting dressed in the dark.

Yay for new baby, boo for pinkstreaks and 'morning to all.

Suzi, I've never been able to remove color stains like that but I have re-dyed a few pieces to cover the problem. A fight fire with fire solution to be sure.

And once, when my exDH accidentally spilled bleach on my very favorite jumpsuit ever in the history of one-piece clothing (it was the 80s. shut up.), I hung the garment up in the garage, took a paintbrush and flung more bleach at it to create interesting designs. This, can't beat 'em so join 'em strategy worked a treat. I wore that thing until it literally fell apart, right along one of the bleach lines...

Today began with a truly weird dream (a client came unexpectedly, she's on the couch and I'm standing up. suddenly, I begin peeing...standing up...right into recently exbf's slipper. She look horrified, I look down mortified and then say, "I have a problem." Then the rl alarm went off.) Normally, I interpret other's dreams. This one? I dunno. Not at all.

Then I discovered at my two week weigh in that I've gained 4lbs.

This day is on notice.

I'm wearing an Egyptian cotton shirt. I keep running my hands along it and shifting my shoulders inside it. It is the softest, most snuggly piece of clothing I've ever worn.

Mmm. Cotton.

All the marathon advice givers are saying 'microfibers only!'

But they feel terrible. I'm not sure wicking is worth the ook factor.
