Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Dudes! Tonight must be the night for all kitchenware to rise up and overthrow their evil human overlords. I got attacked by a corelle-ware bowl that fell out of the dish drainer while I was rinsing a sink full of dishes. Stupid tempered glass shards.

ION Daniel and are going to start shopping for new dishes.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Perhaps I should wait until tomorrow to wash the dishes. I don't want to risk an uprising.

I think you are right, Zenkitty. Safety first!

Zenkitty, is that in Charlottesville Virginia? Or some other Charlottesville? How fun!

I am sleepy, even though I took a three hour nap this evening (5:30-8:30). Oy. Ridiculous. I used ot stay up this late all the time! Even on weeknights! What the hell--am I OLD now??

I think I am old. Cause we went out to a bar, to meet K's coworker, who she talks about all the time, and I was dying to meet (and who, interestingly, is the daughter of a Senator). And it was loud and crowded (though not smoky, yay!) and I was so over it. And couldn't hear a damn thing. And feel hoarse. And then had to drive K home cause she was feeling really sick. And had to keep pulling over for her. Sigh. I'm definitely too old for this shit...

Also, I need the weekend to be longer. Harumph!

It is indeed Charlottesville Virginia. The house is on the south side of the city, about 3 miles from downtown. It's perfect, exactly what I wanted (my sister to buy for us). At least I think it is; I haven't actually been there yet! We close mid-June.

The weekend should be longer. I want a three-day work week. It always takes me a day just to unwind and de-stress.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Erratic MiniMeara:

Thing 1: Daniel! Don't touch the hot things! Don't do it!

Thing 2: OMG, Matilda killed me. Seriously. I don't know when I've seen a funnier baby picture than Baby Rage. Bless. Bless bless bless. She's getting to be such a big girl now!

Thing 3: Cheesecake filling seems somehow Of The Wrong. But I dare say I'd change my mind about that if I had a brownie in front of me, a tin od cheesecake filling and maybe some nice sour cherries with a slosh of kirsch...

Thing 3: BabyBat!Jilli is cute as a button (and does indeed look like Goth!Jo), but she is not the One True Jilli.

Thing 4: PC, I'm sorry about the parental pressure wrt the marriage thing, but I think people already said the things I thought. She could be cool, and they can't MAKE you marry her - this way they can't slag you off for using the internet! Because you're doing what they asked, by chatting with an invisible internet person!

Thing 5: Hil's recipes always make me hungry. Always. And I just ate.

Thing 6: Yesterday I got my first ever tattoo. I spent 6 hours solid getting inked, with a 5 minute break in the middle. It's my own design, traced and then coloured in very painstakingly in almost exactly the way I wanted (I think I may later get the centre, the 'pupil' bit retouched to include more black and an almost pinky purple, but I like the work she did on the turquoise of the 'iris' bit). Here is a picture taken right after she'd finished.

Afterwards, I went home, got changed, and then went out to meet friends to go and see the hilariously fabulous Calypso Cabaret. Rarely do I feel I am wearing an insufficient amount of glitter, but last night was one such occasion.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Fay, that is a gorgeous tattoo!

Librarian Warlord

Fay, that's beautiful! You'll need a whole new wardrobe to show it off properly, I think.

My parents have been visiting this weekend, and we've been walking all over. They brought us a housewarming present: a Roomba! This is one of those presents that will be very good for our marriage, as it's my DH's job to vacuum and we rarely agree on how often this job should be done.

Today were going to Trader Joes (Mom doesn't have one in Richmond) and then having lunch with a family friend.
