Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Steph, freak out. I say that because I know I can't not. Of course, the key then become freaking out without being self-destructive. It helps to have someone's hand to hold, I guess. The room to be scared and worried without consigning yourself to permanent paralysis--that's the middle ground.

There's not even a picture. I have NO SENSE OF HER AT ALL. What the hell do you say? "Hi! Our parents are thinking of marrying us off. Are you cool in any way?"

I am ALL about getting to know people without having a picture. I'd say your first two sentences are pretty on the money. Tell her stuff about you, ask her stuff about her. Forget the marriage for a second and just socialise in text.

Librarian Warlord

f anyone else here posted something similar, I'd say -- Crazy, fool, CALL THE DOCTOR before the weekend starts!

Well, our work here was done before we even started!

I...really don't want to do this.

PC, why not? Is it because this way of dating seems more likely to lead to marriage than other routes (and it's marriage you're not ready for, yet)?

Trust my rage

Are you cool in any way?"

She might turn out to be cool. Do you email her or what? I guess you have two choices - tell her about yourself or ask about her, or both.

Don't you get a little resume about her? Can you send her the one that got vetoed by the parents?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

How are you "checking her out", P-C? Online? Because you talk to people online all the time, you totally know how to do that. Don't worry about the whole marriage thing, just chat, maybe you will like each other, maybe you won't, just like anyone you'd meet.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

In good news, I am wearing my new shoes today and they ROCK MY WORLD. Here is a glimpse of the awesometude: [link]

Robin's very rocked (I edited your first post to put a space before http, which makes the magic happen).

Thanks, ita. I am clearly too overcome by my footwear to format things properly.

Mostly lurking...

Ok. I'm gonna make a run for it. It's only "light rain" right this second.

Wish me luck! Or dryness. Wish me dryness!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

PC, why not? Is it because this way of dating seems more likely to lead to marriage than other routes (and it's marriage you're not ready for, yet)?

That's pretty much exactly it.

Don't you get a little resume about her?

Yes. It includes her birthday, the names of her parents, and her education.
