BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That makes it even funnier!

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Where is everyone? I've got another hour to kill before I board the plane.
GF and I finished Wonderfalls last night. It had lots of potential, but sometimes went a little too cutesy. Woman who plays Jaye is just adorable. I want to go to the LA Zoo and get a smooshed face lion!
Finally, a surgery that actually fixed something and made it better, rather than just repairing something that won't last.
That's SO great, Connie!!!
....which makes me hesitate to post what I'm about to, but maybe if I post it, I'll stop worrying so much.
For the past 2 days, I've been having pain shooting down my left leg, like it did before my back surgery. And....the bottom of my foot is kind of numb.
I'm not trying to overreact, but I haven't had this kind of pain literally since the day of my surgery, so it's a little worrisome. Plus, with the numbness.
I guess I'm going to take lots of ibuprofen, and lie on the heating pad, and if it doesn't go away over the weekend, I'll call the doctor. Maybe it just needs muscle relaxants.
But....I'm a little worried. And, okay, somewhat freaked out, because I forgot what this pain feels like. And because I don't want to be injured again.
Shit, Steph. I hope it's nothing.
Vanilla latte:
There is a baby girl here (about 2 or 3) in a jean jumper dress and pink cowboy boots who is totally making my ovaries hurt. CUTE OVERLOAD!
Eep, Steph! I really don't want you to go through that again.
Connie, that is fantastic! That's much how my mom is since her hip-replacement surgery. I love hearing that people are doing so much better...
Which brings me to...EEK, Steph! I really hope it turns out to be nothing, but I totally get the freaking. I do that every time my asthma starts giving me trouble. Definitely take it easy, and if it's not better by Monday, promise you'll call the doctor, ok?
Well, I made it halfway to the bus stop, and it started pouring. Even with the rain jacket and umbrella I got SOAKED. I've changed clothes, and now I'm trying to decide what to do. I really can't afford to go get soaked again, but I also know there's not way I'm gonna be able to get a cab in this weather. I hate to miss class...especially since I think it's our last quiz day and discussion about the quizzes was really good on Wednesday. Also, I have a paper to turn in. Although, I could e-mail that to the prof.
I have about ten minutes to decide. These are the days I wish I had a car. Even though it would be miserable to drive in this weather, at least I could still make it.
Uh, okay, I decided to just go ahead and call my doctor. I figured, if anyone else here posted something similar, I'd say -- Crazy, fool, CALL THE DOCTOR before the weekend starts!
So I have an appointment this afternoon, not with my regular doctor, but another doctor in the practice.
I've been lifting weights -- *light* ones, because come on, I'm a wimp -- for the past 4 weeks, and it's possible that I pinched a nerve or pulled a muscle, which led to clenchy protectiveness in my back, which makes sense from my spine's POV, but also causes pain to me, damn it.
So if my self-diagnosis is correct, hopefully all I would need is a muscle relaxant and large doses of anti-inflammatories.
Steph, I hope the pain goes away with a bit of rest and stays away.
My dad sent me the first girl to check out last night. Pretty much all I know is that she's an accountant, and I'm supposed to chat her up now.
There's not even a picture. I have NO SENSE OF HER AT ALL. What the hell do you say? "Hi! Our parents are thinking of marrying us off. Are you cool in any way?"
I...really don't want to do this.
