connie, that's wonderful news about your hubby's fix! ::gives surgeon a cookie::
Cool Whip has always been a disturbing product. Demand real whipped cream, people!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Way too risky.
Seriously. I've caught myself about to pour the ground coffee into the water reservoir on the cappuccino machine.
So JZ's dad bought us a high chair for Matilda. It's super deluxe and takes up too much space. And she is so teeny tiny in it. But very content to be sitting up with a tray full of gummable objects.
Does anyone know anyone who has had one of those implanted pain blocker devices, that uses electrical impulses to interfere with pain impulses in the nerves? Hubby's pain specialist has mentioned them, and I'm a little twitchy.
Sharing Kristin's gronk. I'm at LAX waiting to get on a flight to Minneapolis. I sent my slides to my boss last night and have heard nothing. Please to make that mean they are fabulous and need no additional changes.
There are far too many people sneezing here.
Gronk. Just woke up. At least I didn't have anything scheduled this morning.
Also had a very weird dream. In the dream, I was in Israel with some sort of group trip. Rachel Ray was on the trip, as was Frances Bean Cobain. In the dream, Frances was a distant cousin of mine. (As far as I know, she's not.) Rachel Ray kept autographing stuff for me, without my asking for anything. We were going to visit some sort of ancient wall, but the time that we were going to go kept getting pushed back. And I kept trying to grab the armful of stuff that Rachel Ray had autographed for me and bring it back to my room, but when I got back, I'd look down and realize that I had an armful of other people's sneakers. One of my odder dreams, I think.

Hahahaha! GF and I say FIBONACCI all the time (I assume you're talking Prison Break in your tagline). I've only seen season 1 and am anxiously awaiting S2 on DVD.

Hee. Nope, I've never seen Prison Break. I'm talking math in my tagline. (Or, rather, quoting one of my 12-year-old math students from last summer.)
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That makes it even funnier!
Where is everyone? I've got another hour to kill before I board the plane.
GF and I finished Wonderfalls last night. It had lots of potential, but sometimes went a little too cutesy. Woman who plays Jaye is just adorable. I want to go to the LA Zoo and get a smooshed face lion!
Finally, a surgery that actually fixed something and made it better, rather than just repairing something that won't last.
That's SO great, Connie!!!
....which makes me hesitate to post what I'm about to, but maybe if I post it, I'll stop worrying so much.
For the past 2 days, I've been having pain shooting down my left leg, like it did before my back surgery. And....the bottom of my foot is kind of numb.
I'm not trying to overreact, but I haven't had this kind of pain literally since the day of my surgery, so it's a little worrisome. Plus, with the numbness.
I guess I'm going to take lots of ibuprofen, and lie on the heating pad, and if it doesn't go away over the weekend, I'll call the doctor. Maybe it just needs muscle relaxants.
But....I'm a little worried. And, okay, somewhat freaked out, because I forgot what this pain feels like. And because I don't want to be injured again.
