Ok. It's official. I hate my new haircut. I don't know what she did to my hair, but it's just weird, and I can't get it to do anything that looks right.
Come to my house; I'll fix it.
How did your stylist mistake "ensassify" for "encrapify"?
Doesn't matter, I'll still fix it.

I think she didn't know what "ensassify" meant.
And, oh how much I'm wishing I could come and have you fix it. Stupid being on the other side of the country thing.

I could throw in a neck rub and some waffles.

It felt SO GOOD to wake up in a soft bed this morning. I'm taking ND to brunch at the cutest little local place: Firefly Bistro. Tomorrow I'm going to have high tea with my friend K. at another local place. Alas, Rose Tree Cottage (owned by sj's friends) was already booked, so I'm going to Chado Tea Room instead. Yes, this weekend is all about creature comforts.
Welcome back, Kristin. How did someone get a punctured cornea?
How did someone get a punctured cornea?
My friend K. (another teacher) got grit in her contact lens on the first day. It punctured her cornea twice and scratched it. She was pirate-a-fied, poor thing.
Ugh ew ouch ugh ew. Poor thing.
aaaagh. Personal fear demon...something happening to my cornea. Ugh. How awful. owowowowow. I hope it heals quickly.
Eastern Market is abuzzin' today. It has a very street fair feel to it...and tomorrow will actually BE an annual street fair.
Most of the vendors (except for the meat and poultry guys...the latter of whom I am missing hugely) are back and soaking up the love.
The planners are being very, very smart. They opened the middle door and posted fire personnel there so you can walk in about 10 feet and look around at the damage while the fire people pass out safety literature. I mentioned how incredibly smart I thought this was to the oldest fire person who mused,"I've been a fireman for 25 years and I've never seen them let people look inside a burned out building."
I replied,"But see, it helps people to stop being afraid of what they don't understand and it is a perfect commercial for sprinklers and smoke detectors. Genius really." He nodded in agreement.
Plus, I walked 7 miles today! I can really feel it in my bum, which is an awesome thing.
I found out that B-I-L left his teeth home ON PURPOSE. WTF? This weekend is total redneck. Oy.
Feed him nothing but tapioca pudding.
