What? I'm not allowed to hit people? Wesley: Not people capable of genocide. Angel: Those are exactly the types of people I should be allowed to hit!

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I finally found an allergy cocktail that works.
Whoot! Allergy cocktails that work are the best cocktail party evah.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

How do you get someone who works at a snail's pace to move up to, oh gosh, turtle pace?

Our wings are not tired

Sean, I feel your sad. I'm trying really hard to not think about the fact that they are no longer just a few minutes away.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Yeah, me too.

Hey, ND. So tomorrow or Friday for doing garage stuff? I have a 6:30 call both days, but Burbank is just a hop over Glendale, so I'd be surprised if I didn't have time to stop back at home and clean up in between.

Mostly lurking...

Awww...poor LAistas with the sad. I remember that feeling from when Emily left Boston last year. Brackets all around.

So, do we think there's a precedent for an insanity plea due to medicinal steroid usage? 'Cause I came this [] close to plucking out a woman's eye with my crochet hook today.

I swear, I'm not usually violent.

Sean, let's say tomorrow. We can find a little time for some Guitar Hero II as well. Also, hop on IM if you have a sec.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{LAistas}}} It's so hard when a friend moves far away. Much ~ma to all of you.

I put a call into my lawyer a little while ago. He wasn't there, but I mostly just want to see what advice he has. He's a family friend and won't charge me for the advice.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Good for you, sj. I'm not a lawyer, and all that, but it just seems like even if she could have not rented to you without giving a reason, since she did give a reason, and it's protected, you should have a case. Anyway, I hope that's what the lawyer says.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm very glad you have a friendly lawyer to advise you, sj. I want evil landlady to suffer or at least now that she is WRONG WRONG WRONG, but I don't want you to have to suffer to make any impact.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

sj, that situation is ridiculous. If the agent who took you to see the place is any kind of professional, I can't see why they'd continue doing business with that landlady. It would put them in danger of a lawsuit, for going along with her prejudices, and if they agree with her it cuts down on the number of people they can market to. Unless there's a personal relationship between the agent and the landlady, I can't understand any reputable company doing business with her.
