Apparently the RIAA has been given exclusive rights by the US Copyright office to collect all royalties for every song played on internet radio, even if the artists are not members, even if they don't want them to. And to get the royalties, you have to pay to join their subsidiary.

I need a second opinion. My nose started running badly yesterday, and the post-nasal drip ripped up my throat. I'm up after only 4 hours of sleep and the nose is still running and it hurts like a bitch to swallow. Claritin didn't touch it, and the good Sudafed only made a small dent. I have to be on a plane a week from today for work.

Do I go to urgent care or wait and see if I feel better?

How much do I enjoy the fact that TCG and I could sleep in today and we don't have to worry about strangers in our home? So much.

We ended up putting in an offer on an apartment that I am not sure I want to live in. The apartment itself is very nice, but it's on a busy main street. It does have an off street parking lot, but it might be difficult for guests to find parking. Again we offered less than what the landlord wanted, and he said he wanted the weekend to think about it. We'll see.

Maria is the mucus colored or clear? If it's the former, you should probably go to the urgent care.

sj, it's primarily clear. I've developed mild allergies over the past 4 years, but it's never been this bad (IF it's allergies). My glands are slightly swollen but I don't have a fever.

Allergies are very bad this year, so it could just be your mild allergies reacting to the horrible season. If you think you're going to be very uncomfortable flying, you should go to the urgent care. They might give you a nasal spray that could help.

Maria, have you considered a neti pot? It may bring you some relief, especially if it's allergies. (And, because of the season even if it's viral/bacterial the tree sex is probably exacerbating the situation). Also, since you're so short on sleep, I'd go the Benedryl route. If it doesn't stop the dripping, it may push you over the edge to sleep. Feel better!

Some fellow who bore a strong resemblance to my DH got up and made me waffles this a.m. and then did the laundry. I'm torn about wanting my old DH back or whether I like this imposter better.

Speaking of allergies, I may have actually convinced TCG that he has them. It seems he gets a "cold" every time my allergies start acting up, on the same day in fact, but he has been stubbornly insisting for the past two years that he doesn't have allergies.

I barely tolerate nasal sprays. I don't think I could deal with a neti pot. Aaand, there's no Benadryl in the house. It's a good thing there's a CVS less than a mile away.
