I finally remembered to bring my big coffee mug to work which already makes this a better morning than the previous two.
-t, listening to the news this a.m., I guess we now know why your DH was grounded for so long in San Antonio and I'm now glad he was despite the misery of sitting there for 4 hours.
Askye, Andi and I were a part of the Hellmouth Cafe chat room, and I at least, came over here at Askye's urging.
Yup, it was Askye who introduced me to the Buffistas. I lurked a good long while, and de-lurked at Daniel's encouragement. I think I joined after this board was established, as I don't remember using the WX one.
Thanks, y'all for the good wishes and for the trip down memory lane. I'm reading it all this morning as yesterday the tree sex was bringing me down.
Daniel got me a gorgeous mini-roses and irises bouquet. Poor guy, I wouldn't even kiss him last night cuz I was afraid this is a cold, and didn't want to give it to him. I'm still feeling pretty crappy, but I'm a lucky, blessed, happy person.
Aimee, Em is so lovely in those pics.
I think there was more I wanted to say, but I am suffering from lack of oxygen. Lots of love to all y'all.

You're a better woman than I; Tom and I pass the germs all sorts of back and forth. I feel the snuggles are worth it though.
I keep hearing stories about people kept on planes on the tarmac for hours and hours ... doesn't this count as unlawful imprisonment or something? I mean, anyone else who locked a bunch of people into a small, confined space for any length of time would be looking at some serious legal problems, right?

I suspect you give up certain rights when you purchase the ticket. The airlines & staff can make decisions you don't necessarily agree with regarding your travel for various reasons. In these cases, I don't think the airports had empty gates to unload the travellers. Poor planning, certainly a horrible way to treat customers, but I don't know if the travellers could win a legal argument.
But then, I'm no lawyer and I've never read the fine print on my airline tickets.
I think that by buying the ticket and getting on the plane you consent to being detained on it while it is under air traffic control/airport regulations. America West may be a bunch of idiots but the decision about where they roll to on the tarmac isn't completely in their hands.

We do? What happened? My news is all John McCain and traffic. And now adoptions.
Hooray calculus! It would be instructive for Hil's student to be given another similar problem where the answer is not a cube, but that's a lot of work to go through.
I can't see one of the Em pics, but the one I can see is pretty adorable. Love Owen's shirt!
Thanks, Sparky. Ugh, tornados are terrible.
Thanks, everyone. Chris had a great birthday. His party is next Thursday, so he's still got some more excitement to come.
Meanwhile, I can't stop watching Pearl. It's so wrong, and horrifying, really, but so so funny.
