She's recommending a weekend at hospice for Mom just go give us a break, and hot and cold running aides and volunteers thereafter to ease things for us a little. Someone is still going to have to convince me that DH and I can leave the house at the same time for the length of a movie, though. I can't quite believe in it.
Oh, Bev, that sounds PERFECT!
Bev, that is wonderful news.
Yeah, I do have a little smile on my face. We'll see how it works out.
Word of advice? Try not to be an only child. The decisions are hard.
Beverly, I'm so glad you are getting some relief. I was afraid for you. Now I'm happy for you. You need this.
Yes. The decisions are really hard.
I don't believe my brother will help much, though. We never agree.

Amen!!!
Though, on the mom-front. Mine is doing pretty well these days, all things considered. She has more energy and has been getting out more. A good day sees her taking the psycho dog to the dog park. She still had days where she doesn't go much beyond her bed. But, overall, the highs and lows have leveled out compared to a few months ago. Shoot, even a month ago.
That's wonderful news, Suzi. It's good she's able to enjoy stuff.
I love the idea of you getting a break - I'm a doof for not mentioning that before. Take it - you deserve it!!!!!
