Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Cass, have you tried warm/hot compresses across your face (forehead, eyes, nose)? or standing in a hot shower and letting the water run over your face? I've found it helps with sinus headaches ... and sometimes it clears out your sinuses for a little while.

Mostly lurking...

Oh, Nora. That is just ick. I'd be going insane.

My mom actually suggested Sunday that I put my air conditioners in. I'm trying to hold out, but I have SUCH an intolerance to heat, because of one of my meds. It makes me insane. I just think my landlord (who pays my electric bill) is gonna be cranky if I put the air conditioners in in April. Plus, it's supposed to get cooler again tomorrow, I think.

Poor Nora. I know that OSHA doesn't have any specific regs about inside office temperatures, just recommendations. MA might have something. My old library had no air conditioning, so I sympathize with the brain boiling temps and the "they can't make me work like this" thoughts.

I forgot my coffee mug today and the communal mugs aren't big enough. I've already gone for one refill this morning.

The unofficial news is that it looks like I'll be hitting the Chantilly, VA area the week of June 4-8th. It won't become official until mid-May, I'm guessing...but still, we are making progress.

I am in the office today. I so totally would rather be working from home.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'd rather be in the office. Any office. Even a boiling one.

Owen threw up Sunday night but was fine yesterday. He's barfed three times since he got up.

DH has agreed that we'll wait as long as we can to turn on the A/C but it will depend on how soon his seasonal allergies appear. We've had really nice temps (high 60s, low 70s) but it's supposed to rain most of the week.

Trust my rage

Poor Owen and poor, poor, poor Cash. I hope Owen feels better soon. Sort of unusual that he would be sick, fine, and then sick again.

YAY! Also, insent.

Poor Owen and his tumbling tummy. Poor Cash and Owen's tumbling tummy.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

aw, sorry Cashmere. Poor Owen and Cash.

I'd rather be in the office. Any office. Even a boiling one.

Hmm. It's a difficult call to make.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Cashmere and Owen}}} Do you think it could be something he's eating rather than a bug? It's weird that he was fine all day yesterday.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Poor Owen. Poor Cash...

They really do help, just yesterday was brutal and the compresses only helped for basically the time I was doing it. The heaty pack thing was traveling from my face to the microwave to my neck to the microwave to my face to the microwave to my neck.

Today, I am going to try to keep ahead of it though.

And I forgot the steamy shower thing yesterday. Steamy showers are a godsend. Thanks for the reminder, Toddson.

Have coffee now.
