ION, it is GORGEOUS here today. I came home and the first thing I did was open a bunch of windows.
My neighbors are outside, taking advantage of the beautiful weather to clean out their car. They have their puppy, Gio, on a leash. He's not very happy about this, so he's whining. Toto doesn't care for this much, so he's sitting right in front of the window whining back. Their having this little whine fest. It'd be funny if it wasn't so annoying.
at least I get to meet her tomorrow and bring bagels to Suzi's.

Nope. He really doesn't enjoy groups of people he doesn't know very well. Hell, I don't even know if he enjoys groups of people he does know! He's shy and quiet and I think he feels too much pressure to interact when it doesn't come naturally to him. Also, he's a tremendous procrastinator (I am trying to figure out if it's something I need to talk to him about, because it irritates me to no end) and so he's got 1,001 things to accomplish before we depart for Europe on Monday. Whereas I'm practically packed.
If he aint ready by Monday, I'm taking Empress.
Hey, I need some of the patented buffista draft~ma. I'm so angry about this that I can't be rational and polite. How do you say -- "this is your department's job, your people didn't do it. Stop trying to make me do it and get the shit done.", with a side of "yes, I COULD do it, but it would take a lot of my time, and it's not my fucking job"

Speaking of tv, Steven mentioned loving the show "Highway Patrol" when he was a kid and desperately wanting to see it again. I did some research, found it's not been released in any official capacity but spent $200 for a set made off the original 16mm. For this, I got "best girlfriend ever" award, but it's also half the reason he's not ready for our trip! I should have waited until after we returned to give him the damned dvds of procrastination doom.
If he aint ready by Monday, I'm taking Empress.

OMG yes. I'm not sure I'm going to make it.
ha. I have conquered the house. It looks really good and it should be a snap to rearrange the furniture for the house concert tomorrow. There are still things I could do ( like put away the clothes in our bedroom) But we are ready for the public.
I've done a little bit of my bathroom cleaning. Still in PJs. Lunch was cashews and M&Ms. I love being a grown-up!
