Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for the kiddie laughter.

Have not had the sex with pierced nipples. Also, ouch.

A week ago or so I changed my browser home page to the Google theme thing with a beach theme. I changes with the hour of the day. I open my browser hundreds of times a day and it still is entertaining me. Soothing as the color shifts throughout the day and night. I may try some of the other themes, but this is pleasant.

Would someone please bring me some coffee now?

Sounds of clothing (currently understood as the clothes Iris was wearing for her nap) being hurled over the gate and down the stairs.

Sounds like Owen is now corresponding with Iris.

The DH and I went up to Baltimore last night for dinner with a pilot friend who is in town for a conference. Two bottles of wine, many delicious small plates and 5 hours of sleep later, I am at work with a large cup of coffee and a chocolate cookie for breakfast. Gronk, indeed.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Note that she called me by name when I answered!

Well.... I have actually done this- I hate doing it, but my boss is like, who did you talk to? And then I call back and I hear them say their name in the intro, and the only options are : 1) hang up immediately now that the question of the name has been answered 2) make up some bs question on the fly or 3) come clean and tell the truth of why I'm calling. Even though it makes me sound like a moron.

I try to get off the phone quick though.

Yay for Pazo - did DH find lots of things to eat?? WHAT did you have? (I'm jealous!) I hope you're saving room for pizza with your alter-niece.

I think the whole 'no-clothes & so I'm too cold to nap' thing is actually great - she's already evolved beyond me in intelligence... sweet! My work here is done.

It wouldn't have been so bad with the screen capture, except that the sender cc:ed his boss and sounded SO superior in the email. In my reply, I didn't return the favor. Today, I will be sweetness and light - and remember to ask myself the central question - "Do I really care THAT much?" (of course I do, but do I really, really care?)

My DH ate bread and pizza and chicken, IOW, the usual. I had white anchovies, scallops, ceviche, lamb, gnocchi -- all sorts of forbidden tastes.

except that the sender cc:ed his boss and sounded SO superior in the email

I love it when idiots give themselves the proverbial wedgie in front of the whole class.

Compassionately intolerant

Laura, I love the 'tea house' google theme myself. A little fox critter goes about his day, doing chores, taking tea, visiting with his friends. At night, he sits on the dock of his little lake house and plays the mandolin. I've had the theme up for months and it still makes me smile.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Gronkies.

I'm back in my home state. At work. I should be able to avoid work drama until Monday, at least - both the two people who stabbed me in the back are out until then. AND I have permission to work from home next week if I feel they are "creating a hostile work environment".

But that is not what I came here to say. Last night I discovered that Southwest has Canadian Club. I also discovered that sharing a love of baseball, specifically A's baseball, with the flight attendent can equal free drinks. Ahhh, sweet alcoholic oblivion.

I'll have to try that one when I tire of the beach. Google rocks. Old song, but they do rock mightily.

Hey Suzi! You know it might help the hostile work environment if you brought Canadian Club to the office. I worked with a guy that put whiskey in his coffee. He was insane in many ways, but I don't think it was the booze.

I am now on coffee #2 and cookie #2, Canadian Club still at 0.
