Who died and made you Elvis?

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I have a friend who graduated from NCSA I need to have that shirt.

When was s/he there? Eons after I left, I'm sure.

Have a fabulous time in SF, DJ!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Argh. Coughing keeping me up again. Inhaler being remarkably ineffective.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Hey DJ, have a wonderful time in SF! I think I may need to steal your squee countdown.

Aww. Take it. I have plenty of squee to spare.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Aww. Take it. I have plenty of squee to spare.

I'm so psyched we get to drag you around on Friday!

JZ has a job interview Friday afternoon, so at some point it's just going to be you and me and Matilda.

move out and draw fire

ARGH! I had the office to myself so I turned the effing Bill O'Reilly off. That lasted 5 minutes.

Fleeing now.

(Also, just got my tickets. 20.5 hours of flight time. Oh god.)

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh. I think I would endure 20.5 hours of flight before Bill O'Reilly though. I have my limits of patience.

20.5 hours of flight time

Mal's not the only one you should consider doping for the flights.

not your mom's socks.

Dear [educational non-profit]: "I'm seeing some unusual data - what did you do wrong?" Is. Not. A. Helpful. Email. {erg: should I have posted this rant in tech?} Blarg. Need more coffee. And a mallet. I want to be a writer again, now please.

Kristin T - another poet to check out for your gang is Lynda Hull - The Only World. My students (albeit 9 years ago) loved the change from purely confessional ... especially as it was still dark matter. She didn't publish a lot before she died (Ghost Money and Star Ledger), but it's beautifully formed urban stuff.

Sparky - DH last night said "well, why don't you go to the F2F?" He's at interviews down your way both tonight (5pm) and tomorrow afternoon (1pm)

"well, why don't you go to the F2F?"

I always did like your DH.

My DH and I will be in your neck of the woods tonight, having dinner with a hang gliding friend.

Coffee sounds like a good idea.
