Le Creuset RAWKS

Yes! I'm already very much in lurve with it, despite the fact that I really can't lift it. I bought it from an ebay seller after looking for months, and I got pretty good deal on it.

ETA: Of course, after I bought it Mom told me she was going to get me one for my birthday.

Mmm, chili. Is Le Creuset really better than, say, cast-iron pots from the hardware store?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm feeling a bit better today. Still nowhere near "well," but better.

I think I'm going to take a nap and then try to figure out the work stuff. There's one thing that I can probably rearrange that'll buy me some extra time this week.

It has the really nice porcelain enamel coating, which makes it different from a regular cast iron pot.

It is. And it rules. I need more of it.

Thrive to spite them

I got a piece for Christmas, it's not a huge pot and it's wonderful. I have another piece of enamel cast iron that's not Le Creuset and it's not the same.

sj - you should tell your Mom Le Creuset is still a good birthday gift idea, one piece just isn't enough.

Nap well, Hil.

What does the enamel coating do? I'm halfway talking myself into getting some, as I have no cast-iron anything right at the moment and miss it.

Happy Birthday Beth!

{{{S & Sean}}} This just sucks. I hope S recuperates quickly.

Feel better, Hil!

With all the serious health issues out there, I feel silly complaining about my upset stomach. But it's my vacation. Everything is supposed to be perfect. On the other hand, I napped in a bed with a sunny window, and don't have to do anything, and there was potentially great news today, so yeah!

You know, Le Creuset makes more than one pot. Your mom will just have to get a little creative. Make sure she knows the color to match.
