Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I didn't say that it wouldn't be a great job, I'm just saying that the hot FBI agent is not guaranteed.

Right. You have to study really hard and become an A-list forensic anthropologist to get the hot G-man.

Always Anti-fascist!

I'm so glad I really didn't go to law school to become Joyce Davenport. I was about her age when I wanted to.

As much as I loved Ms. Davenport, I don't think law school ever crossed my mind. I'm trying to remember what aspirations I might have had at that age but I'm coming up blank.

Which is kind of where I've ended up career-wise, so, yay? Way to follow that dream?

I wanted to be a cashier. I loved pushing the buttons. Rather like a keyboard, now that I think on it. No satisfying ka-ching of the drawer, though.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I taught a class today. Then attended a class. Then did a bit of work. Then wanted to go to sleep. Then had an extra 5 or so hours worth of work dumped on my desk, preferably to be done by next week. I'm seriously trying not to cry here. This is just NOT going to happen.

Oh, Hil, I'm sorry. Can you go to sleep now and not worry about the extra work for a bit?

Cash registers don't have those cool buttons anymore. At least, none of the ones I've used. I always liked the kind that you pulled the lever on.

My Le Creuset pot arrived today. Of course my mailman left it outside in the rain, which annoys because he knows I'm handicapped and I could barely lift the box. But it's here, and I am already making a pot of chili in it!

Le Creuset RAWKS

Yes! I'm already very much in lurve with it, despite the fact that I really can't lift it. I bought it from an ebay seller after looking for months, and I got pretty good deal on it.

ETA: Of course, after I bought it Mom told me she was going to get me one for my birthday.
