I'm all stupid and woozy and shit.
I'm more or less over this cold thing that had me horking up stuff I'd breathed back in the seventies...but I feel like I've dosed myself with a crapload of cold medicine, even though I have taken nothing today.
And it's doing that thing where I don't have any appetite...as a result I have not actually eaten lunch. Which is not good, but...
Whee...I'm kinda flying, here. It's almost fun, except for the part where it's not.
The hell? I just took my temperature again, to make sure the fever was gone. 95.6. I know that "normal" for me is usually a bit below 98.6, but this is ridiculous.
I've got a sinus infection and have a bunch of medicines to take ... but I think the antibiotic isn't working. sniff.
juliana! That's fantastic! Congratulations!
Feel better, Todd.
I just got a call from my mother, telling me that I have to go to the doctor to make sure I don't have bronchitis. She can't explain what use going to a doctor would be, since I've got no fever, I already have an inhaler, and most bronchitis is viral, anyway, so antibiotics would be useless, but she's insisting that, if I'm coughing, I must see a doctor. (She doesn't seem to get the "Yeah, I've been sick, but I drank lots of fluids and took OTC medicine and rested and took care of myself, and now I'm still coughing but I'm feeling better than I was before, so this seems to be getting better" idea. Coughing = bronchitis = doctor.)
(I chose not to tell her that I was wheezing a bit last night. I know that she'd tell me to go to the emergency room.)
It took me three hours, but I have antibiotics and codeine.
The doctor thinks it's probably viral (as do I), but that my painful ear may be a bacterial ear infection, so anti-Bs. She gave me codeine in a pill when I complained about the horrors of the cherry-flavored cough syrup. I'm nominating her for sainthood.
My voice is now gone, too.
More get-well glitter!!!
:: strews and scatters and take my own medicine::
I was gonna ask if your temp was normally that low, Hil. Maybe a post-fever reaction that will stabilize?
I was gonna ask if your temp was normally that low, Hil. Maybe a post-fever reaction that will stabilize?
Maybe. Normal for me is usually somewhere between 96.8 and 97.2. Below 96 is just weird.
Yay, Juliana!
Also, get better, Hil, Sean and Todd. If this keeps up, we may have to quarantine the thread.
Hil, it's normal to have a temp lower than, well, normal when you have a cold. So you should watch it but not worry about it.
Your mom sounds like she wishes she could do something to make you feel better!
Hope you feel better soon, Todd & Ginger!
