You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I missed the resignation brouhaha?!

La Tep told her craxy bosses to fuck off? Brill!

Even better -- the BDSM group I belong(ed?) to is a volunteer-run organization (i.e., not-for-profit; no paid staff, etc.), and I was on the PR committee. Because I, you know, AM AN EDITOR FOR A LIVING.

There's been mountains of heinous bullshit being heaped upon me, telling me that I'm "over-editing," etc., etc. -- and that assessment was made by 2 of the most illiterate human beings I've ever known.

So I resigned from the committee, because it's a goddamn VOLUNTEER position, and I don't need the bullshit. Well, resigning led to even MORE bullshit, such as me being called a liar, juvenile, irrational, and a coward, along with more explication of how I "over-edited."

I am SO OVER all this.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm not sure why, but in the future I really want to hear a detailed report on how the Group President has suffered for all his asshattery....

I mean, there are plenty of asshats out there that deserve to suffer....

All is well that ends in pizza.

I mean, there are plenty of asshats out there that deserve to suffer...

Not of they like that sort of thing...

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Not of they like that sort of thing...

It just merits new and original methods of punishment.

He's already ripped the group apart, which is just so very wrong. And what he wants the group to become has nothing to do with the original intent, which was simply to be a "support" group, of sorts, where people who had the same basic interests could get together and say "Hey, you're into this, too? I thought I was the only one!" And in such an uber-conservative town like Cincinnati, finding like-minded people is extra-important. It's very similar to gay people coming out and looking for a safe community.

But Group President has been trying to turn it into -- almost -- a business, and a prestige thing for him.

And that pisses me off, because there is no other similar group in Cincinnati, and so a real disservice has been done to the kinky people of Cincinnati who might want support/company/etc.

Which means that, yes, I'm moving more and more towards creating a splinter group (The Judean People's Front). Because I'm INSANE.

I was thinking about why people like the Asshat Group President really really bug me. It's because people like that seem incapable of even considering the possibility that they might be wrong or made a mistake. So if someone is critical of them, their immediate response is to "get even" with the person who accused them of being wrong. So they end up causing tons of needless suffering for others because because they're too insecure to admit that they might actually be a fallible human being.

Wankers. Wankers with asshats....

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Am I correct in remembering that Group President doesn't even live in Cincinnati?
