[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm getting the pig!

Yay sj! I'm glad everything went well last night. I also praise you for standing up (staying home) to landlady.

Nora, I'm afraid I also don't understand what your prof is getting at. I thought that your type of bibliography was also referred to as a reference page.

I'm thinking that I might be holding onto some of my health~ma. I've been feeling randomly dizzy and nauseous the last couple of weeks. I never know when it's going to strike, though. Yesterday I almost passed out in aisle 7 of SuperTarget. This morning I had to take a break from the incredibly difficult task of standing in one place and dusting off action figures. WTF?

I'll make a dr appt tomorrow, but for now I'm trying to rule things out. What do anxiety attacks feel like? Can they strike when I'm doing really boring stuff that doesn't make me the least bit anxious?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Depends. Does your heart tend to race at the same time? Is it after you've had more than a couple of cups of coffee? There's a lot of things that can set them off. Even having restricted breathing from the way you're sitting or the clothes you're wearing can trigger one. It's the bodies reaction to a perceived threat whether there is one or not.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The real estate person they sent didn't know anything about the house, asked if I was going to show it, and then proceeded to ask tons of questions. What an idiot. I have no idea what she would have done if we weren't here.

ION, I'm getting kind of discouraged after looking through the apartment listings in the paper today.

{{{Ginger}}} Feel better.

Nora, good luck figuring out what your professor is asking for. I wish I could help.

I'm getting the pig!

Yes, to the heart racing.

I kind of thought it might be due to my recent caramel macchiato obsession... but I've experienced the feeling before, after and during my caffeine consumption. But maybe they put a different kind of crack in the caramel than they do in my previously regular hazelnut latte.

Hmm, if you can't find an obvious trigger point, I suggest seeing your doctor to get some basic tests done, rule out any insipient problems with anemia or low blood sugar, etc. It could be as easy as a different formula of multivitamin to fix it. It could also be, even if you're not aware of any other symptoms, signs of perimenopause. Hot flashes, there not just for 40-year-olds.

I'm getting the pig!

That would suck. I'd rather be pregnant. And for me, that's really saying something.

Laura, they were just talking about the storms that are due to hit your neck of the woods. It's just thunder and rain, though, right? Nothing to be worried about?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Emily, have you *seen* you? You're pretty distinctive, and it's not a hair thing. More a striking bone structure, gorgeous eyes thing.

Blah, Nicole. I hope it's something small.

And the rest of you: FEEL BETTER. Gosh.

Nicole, it could be allergies. I get the dizzy, nauseated, and tired when they kick in, but you should definitely see your doctor.

For what it is worth, the according to the Interbunny

A Reference List is a list that includes the essential bibliographical details for each item to which you have referred in the body of your paper. It should ONLY include items to which you have made direct reference.

A Bibliography is a list that includes all items, which you have consulted in the preparation of your work, whether you have referred to them in your paper or not.

But if you are doing a review of the literature, then at this stage I don't what the distinction between sources reviewed, and sources cited would be.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Me neither, Gar. I think I was especially confused because since I sent the bibliography in, if a reference list is what I thought it was, that... was... obviously done.

I'd done some reference to statistics that I couldn't get a primary source for, so I didn't review it for the annotated bib., (which she knew, due to my asking about the particular situation as well as, um, reading the paper) so maybe that's what she's referring to.

I sent her a list of references/resources (C&P'd from the anno'd. bib.) and asked her if that's what she meant. So, hopefully she'll figure out that she needs to spell it out in small words for me. Thanks y'all!
