Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I got my tax refund a few days ago. My father prepared the tax forms (when I first got this job, I didn't know what my DC address would be, so I put my parents' address, and so all my tax stuff is sent there because I never bothered to change it, and he just opens it and puts all the info onto the form without me asking. I just check it over and sign it. Works out pretty well.) Anyway, I just about immediately used it to register for a sign language course this summer. Figure it's as good a use as any.

Daisy, JZ just said to me "You know what it's going to be like when Daisy's here? Lots of laughing."

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Aww. Thanks for the smile. I hope so! I'd hate to disappoint!

I didn't realize how much I'd been talking up this trip. Mom called today and was asking me if I was ready. San Francisco is her second favorite city on the planet. She usually gets up there about once a year or so. It's one of the few places she'll accompany my step-father to on his conference/business trips (he runs the public transportation co. back home, so SF is often a destination). She was adorkable telling me everything I should see.

ETA: I get to change my tag in about 45 minutes! Squeeeeeeeeee!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

hec, I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow with Kristin and Aimee's genius, Erica. Any suggestions? I am looking for something new, but still somewhat in my usual Chrissie Hynde/Joan Jett/shaggy vein.

A's win with a ball bouncing off of Podsednick's head. Heeee! Too bad it didn't go over the fence for a homerun, ala Jose Canseco.

The only thing I know about current baseball stuff is that the Rangers got whassisface of the steroid controversy. We are aparently very divided about this, though we're starting to win, so knowing Dallas, that may change.

"Just say no" is my stance.

I really only find baseball interesting if I'm at a game. It's the atmosphere.

Bonds is on the Giants. Oh, Sosa? Or someone else? There are so many possibilities.

Sosa, I think. It's the Rangers. I dislike most Texas teams though. I only like the Mavericks because Nash and Nowitski are freaking adorable together. Even now that they play on different teams, they're still smacking each other on the ass and being generally cute.

Rangers got Sosa, yes.

No way you can disappoint me, Daisy. I know who you are. My affection is already miles deep. It will just take on more specific shape and nuance on seeing you.

Well, I think we've established that's a good look for you. I'm trying to think of any interesting variations I've seen lately. Erica is very good with the layered shapes from what I've seen on Aimee and Kristin - I'd trust her to shape it around your (beautiful!) face and find the right length for you.

I hope that's not too wishy washy - but I really do think she's the kind of stylist you can say "This is the length I'm thinking about and the rest is up to you to make me prettiest." She'll do it!
