Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I can't believe Owen turns 3, tomorrow. It's inconceivable to me. I remember when you were like a day late for your period.

Ha! I know. It's all very weird.

askye, I hope the pasta isn't a total loss. It sounds nummy.

We're doing our taxes April 14. April fricking 14.

I'd do the same but I'm going to a wedding this weekend and I'll be wiped when I get back. DH is already freaking that I didn't do them in January when I did our other taxes. We always pay at the last minute but he likes to be aware of what we owe. I already know in the ballpark since things didn't change too much from last year.

He also doesn't know that I paid them two weeks late last year. It's MUNI! It's not like they're coming down with an IRS auditor. They don't even penalize you.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The last time that happened to me, it turned out LJ had just logged me out. It took me ages to figure out that I couldn't see ANY locked posts on my flist.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think Cindy or Jesse had the answer. All better!

Yeah, I just realized that although I went through and "did" my taxes back in like, February, I need to actually write them in ink and fill everything out precisely and mail them in...THIS WEEKEND. Doh.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I did my taxes on-line. Twice. Got different answers. Now I need to do them by hand so I know who to trust. Maybe tomorrow.

If you're getting money back, they could give a shit when you file. For reals. If you owe, on time is important.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, so did I! It was weird. I went with the one that gave me more money back.

That's what I want to do, but I have to check and make sure it's right. I think it is, but I have to be sure. More sure. Go through the motions of making sure.

I'm on time with federal and state. My municipal taxes are filed quarterly, and I've actually spaced it and forgotten a couple of times. They're very forgiving. And the city school tax is new--so there are some kinks to work out and I need to familiarize myself with another new form--it's not online. Basically, if they want to come after my ass for $600, they're welcome to. But they won't.

I actually had both H&R Block and Turbo Tax open at the same time, and I just copied the information from one to the other, and I looked, baffled, as Turbo Tax took away money at a step H&R Block did nothing. I think they taxed me on my relocation (paid for by my company). Which...maybe is what was supposed to happen, but I put the same W-2 information into HRB, and it didn't do anything. So.
