I like pancakes 'cause they're stackable. Ooo, and waffles 'cause you can put things in the little holes if you wanted to.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

No fair stealing all of the energy, beth.

Why didn't I try to finish my schoolwork before my ADD meds wore off for the day? Because that would have made some sort of sense.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

sj, it's Faithful, co-written by Stephen King and Stewart O'Nan -- a fannish following-the-team-for-a-year book they'd been planning for a while, that just happened freakishly to occur the same year the Red Sox won it all. Extremely fun book.

Though (looking around shiftily) I've been told that if I liked Faithful, I'd love going back and reading all of Nutty's baseball posts from that magical year.

I think we need a picture of Em with her devilbunny, please.

Also, dancing to Van Morrison: never the wrong thing to do, no matter how late at night.

Thanks, JZ! Nutty's baseball posts are always very interesting and fun to read.

Seconded.

Clovis says he needs it for the minion roster, so photos now please thank you. Oh, he says cookies would be good, too.

The status is NOT quo.

Mini-meara!

Problem is my visions involve Elvis and a Vegas wedding chapel.

Rolls. Eyes. Forever. I want to at least pretend our love isn't cheap and tawdry!

However, it is frightfully adorable (look at that! a phrase that encompasses both Gothy Girl and husband!) when she finally stops crying for "Baby" once the fanged bunny has been given and snuggles down with a cheerful "G'night!" and gives said bunny a kiss on the forehead.

SO CUTE!

I think we need a picture of Em with her devilbunny, please.
Yes, please.

I don't think so. Hell, it's practically a standard question around here. I usually follow up with "and do you like it?" because that tells you as much, if not more, about the person that the job that they do.
I am Vortex as well. Lucky me!

Why didn't I try to finish my schoolwork before my ADD meds wore off for the day? Because that would have made some sort of sense.

I'm sorry, sj! I have to wait another week or two before I get to try my first round of ADHD meds, but I'm hoping I have as much success as you've been having with yours.

I am caught up on grading and homework!

ChiKat, I am madly jealous of you.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

clovis plus Em equals way too cute.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

NOT caught up on the homework, but on the upside prepared for all my classes tomorrow, with the daily Mad Minute stuff already copied and the New Notetaking System explained and in place. These are both new daily routines I'm introducing this week.

Unfortunately, about half my students will be gone on a field trip tomorrow, and Wednesday we're running the state test schedule for the first time, so I'll only have 2 of my classes. AND another half my kids will be out for another field trip. Sigh.

Was at school till 8, which I'm so OVER. But all the copies for tomorrow are made, so maybe tomorrow I'll actually manage to do the things I really NEEDED to get done today (call HR and confront the principal about writing me a letter of, if not recommendation, at least no-disciplinary-action). Also, cancel hair-color appointment, mail please-please-cut-me-some-slack letters to loan company, finish up my own recommendation letter (thanks, Vortex!) and meet with my coach. Did I forget anything? Oh, right, I might attempt to teach at some point.

Heh. Just kidding. I never do that. Ooh, and we have an assembly tomorrow!

Thanks, Kristin! I think I need to talk to my doctor about the extended release version of my meds, because a 6 hour window of productivity isn't working as well for me as I would like. Good luck to you.

The status is NOT quo.

I forgot to add that I think my accountant is taunting me. She emailed to let me know that she sent my tax stuff overnight express so I could sign it and send it off, but she didn't tell me if I am getting a refund or owe money! Now I'm fretting.

Oh, and my back is achy and owey and is making me want to bite things.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

ChiKat, I am madly jealous of you.

I have class tomorrow after teaching, so I have to have my homework done. I just had a ton to do for this week. And, for grading, our quarter ends on Friday and I have to plug in grades on Thursday. So, I needed to be caught up on grading. It feels really good, though.

Oh! And, I have lesson plans for 1 prep for the next 2 weeks which will finish me out of that class and lesson plans for 1 week for the other prep. I'm teaching that one up to the day I leave, though. Student teaching is done in 3 weeks. Wooty goodness!

Now, I need a job. Crap.
