Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A's win! Kendall throws out the runner to end the game against the hated Angels. Yesssssssss.

So, David, do I call and ask for an appointment with Megan? Is that it?

Sorry, I know this shouldn't be a difficult thing, but... eh. Grownup stuff. I suck at it.

That's all there is to it. She's an excellent listener, and you should get the haircut you want.

Our wings are not tired

No pictures of the haircuts yet. I'll see what I can do tomorrow. I do have red in my hair now. I also need to dye my goatee again before pictures happen.

The status is NOT quo.

I don't know if meara liked her cut, but I thought it looked sexy as hell. Wow. ND's red is extremely cute as well.

I am jonesing for a haircut to fix the sucktastic one I have. It's like two haircuts, neither of which make sense for my hair.

I have a feeling I'm going to be losing a lot of length, because even my awesome guy in VA needs something to work with.

Double emergencies last night - first the cruise ship accident and then some sort of gnarly injury on Mallory's leg. So while R (who is the civilian maritime officer) was on the phone making sure all the Americans were okay, I was trying to pin Mal to determine whether he had a burn or a bite or a rash or what.

I just can't get my head around Piazza on the A's. It's like I don't even know the team anymore. Chavez is pretty much the only player I recognize in the green and gold.

What is even happening?

Did you figure out what happened to Mal, Raq?

I'm leaning toward bug bite. It's on his inner thigh, and last night when I picked him up from the nanny's it was a swollen angry red area about 4" long by 1.5" wide, with a clear bright red circle in the middle. It looked like it could have been irritated from rubbing against his diaper.

I was pretty worried it was a scorpion sting because it was so awful looking, but after putting cortizone on it and a gauze cover, much of the redness and swelling went away, and there never were the vein traceries I associate with scorpion stings.

Whatever it was, it ruptured a whole bunch of blood vessels and involved some toxin. Since it took 4 adults to hold him down for one quick shot, I doubt there's any way just R and I will be able to hold him for long enough to pull the toxin out, so we're just monitoring it.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I hope Mal's leg is ok, Raq.

Scary cruise ship sinking.

Our houseguests were out and gone by 7 a.m. We don't have to leave until noon so I have time to pack and do my dishes.

How would you pull the toxin out, in theory?

Hey, that's a pretty good trick -- getting rid of houseguests at 7am. Have a good weekend.

We had our annual Easter play at church last night. Scott and the kids are part of the crowd. I acted some in junior high, high school and college, but I've lost my nerve, so I'm happy to just be in the audience.

Scott and Ben were against Jesus. Chris and Julia were for Jesus (this is when Pilate is judging him). They were all in the play last year, but this year, the anti-Jesus half of the crowd really bothered Chris. We weren't sure he was going to be able to be in it (which was fine by us, but he wanted to be in it). He ended up doing fine though. I thought he was crying, but it turns out he was just acting. There's another performance, tonight.
