Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

One final project (the paper) turned in!

One PowerPoint presentation to finish!

WOOO HOOO

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Go you, Aimée!

Aimee, that's wonderful! Go you!

Morning, Bitches.

Cash, how are you feeling this morning?

Toto and I met new friends out on our walk this morning--a woman and her dog who moved here from the Cape about six weeks ago. That was fun. I love meeting people when I've got my crazy wake-up hair and jammies still on.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Ginger}} I hope your projects complete quickly so that you can go see first hand how your mother is doing. It is always worse from afar.

Yay Aimee!

I hate the people who made me get up in the pitch black dark this morning. I went back to bed at 7:30 after my early errands. I thought I had punched the button on the coffee maker, but it was unplugged, so when I got back up, no coffee. There is now. Time to get some.

Because books.

We overslept a little bit -- because it was dark, I guess? And our House of Death status continues unchallenged -- Stephen is sick now, and I'm still coughing and congested. Bleh.

More tea!

What is even happening?

Amy, your family was supposed to learn from my family's mistakes.

I hate the people who made me get up in the pitch black dark this morning. I went back to bed at 7:30 after my early errands. I thought I had punched the button on the coffee maker, but it was unplugged, so when I got back up, no coffee. There is now. Time to get some.

That's my Congressional Rep. -- Ed Markey. What frustrates me is that one part of his argument was how this was going to give us more time outside after school and work. Well no, Ed, not for your actual constituency, because light isn't the only factor -- weather is, as well. Ptui, we shall speak of him no more, because I'd write to him if I could think of an opening line other than:

Dear Ed,

You really screwed the pooch on this one.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Ginger, I hope your mom's ok and that you can get up there this week to see her.

The kids obliged me by sleeping until 8 a.m. today, which is good because I'm sort of sore this morning.

Cash, how are you feeling this morning?

Slighly annoyed since my back is now breaking out in blisters. Grrr. I suspect this 'bout is going to last a while since the breakouts are taking a while to appear. No use wishing for a five day rash that clears up promptly by Friday. I'm going to go back into my doc and see what else she can give me to control the symptoms (antivan? steroids, maybe?)

AmyLiz, sorry about the continued ick.

60 degrees today, so I'm happy about that, at least.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Coming in late because I wasn't around yesterday because Hubs's brother and his family (including 9yo boy and almost-8YO girl) decided to visit.

My song -- "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do." comma comma down dooby down down, indeed.

"Billy Don't Be a Hero"

Their follow-up single, "Who Do You Think You Are" is a great uptempo pop tune that should have been #1.

And there were actually two versions of "Billy" out at the time. The group that didn't have the hit followed up with "The Night Chicago Died."

What is even happening?

I know when my mother didn't want to take the pain pills, the doctor told her to keep taking the Ativan, because it works on the nerve endings (whatever that means -- it makes sense to me in a way I can't explain, because Shingles is attacking your nerves).

Are you having pain with the blisters, Cashmere?
