A lot of times, I see the typical, "Context is for wimps," sentiment expressed in COMM before the quoted post, and I think, "No. Context is for posterity."
Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I suspect someone wrote a book about Monica Lewinsky, and that inspired your COMMed post, but I don't know.
I kind of love that none of us have a clue, though. It makes the quote even more endearing.
Oh, the humiliation. The #1 song on the day I was born was "Tammy" by Debbie Reynolds. The daughter is Michael Jackson "Rock with You" and the son is John Lennon "(Just Like)Starting Over." Can I have a do-over?
Emily, your students sound very creative, if not always right.
Sorry, I was napping. And reading Shadow of the Hegemon. But mostly napping.
Talking with my mother is exhausting. Fortunately most of the need for headdesking is out of the relationship.
Kristin was an excellent guest and brought me the best gift basket ever. One of my cats was DEEPLY in love with her, but she handled the adoration well.
Robin, did she bring you a basket of salmon, chicken jerky and catnip tea?
I finally met Robin!
I wanna meet Robin. And finish this damn article.
Ginger, have you heard any more news on your mom?
She's still not doing great. The process of trying to get the fluid down seems to have made her blood chemistry wonky, and they're trying to get the sodium and potassium levels up. In the process, she's acquired an intestinal blockage. She had a CT scan for that late yesterday, but they don't have the results yet. They're restricting her fluids, she has a tube down her nose and a catheter. I don't don't think medical science can make anyone more miserable. Right now, I'm planning to go up towards the end of the week.
