'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I'm very hopeful that the rest of the month will be good enough to make up for the beginning. I've been trying to stay quiet, because some really crappy things have happened this month. I don't want to minimize that at all, but clearly March is the best month evah. For evidence, I present Great People Born in March:

Both of my nieces, My cousin, Dr. Seuss, Eric Idle, My step-sister, Eugene McCarthy, Eric Clapton, A great co-worker, Rob Reiner, Douglas Adams, Albert Einstein, Lots of friends, Me!, Robert Frost, Noah and Grace

vw, that's a gorgeous crib. And it converts to a toddler bed, so it's practically affordable, right?!

Um...maybe in an alternate universe!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

sometimes I feel like I need to be more bold with my makeup. I don't wear a lot generally (most days, it's moisturizer, eyeliner and powder and I'm done) Eyeshadows are dark and or muted. Maybe someone will help me with make up for the F2F.

Are you willing to do gold liquid liner? Because, damn, you'd look good with gold liquid liner.

aaahhhh!! change!!! we do not like change!!! and, therein lies my problem. I could try it though. I do have an eyeliner with blue glitter. it's very subtle, unless you put on a ton. shocking, I know.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

It's very pretty, though. I liked it!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I totally need someone to do makeup for me.

I want to see how I'd look with that heavy, smudgy Pussycat Doll look on my eyes.

I tried to do that, but I just looked like I'd lost a bar fight.

Same here. I think it's only meant for professionals to do.

I think it's a style of makeup that you have to have applied by someone else, not do it yourself. When I try it on other people, it looks great. When I try it on myself, I look like a happy panda.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Vortex, I think gold liner would be a glam, but not glaring, look on you. Especially if you paired it with a shimmery deep teal--just a hint of, mind.

Wish I were going to the F2F, because I'd bring my NARS Showgirl liner. I love the stuff, but I'm forced to admit that it works best on skintones deeper than fishbelly Scots.

As for cribs, well, we've managed maybe five hours of crib use in a year of having one. She slept in Susan's Amby for the first 7 months, then became a co-sleeper. Cribs now strike me as fairly useless, except for when you need somewhere to stack coats. I expect we'll be converting the thing to a toddler bed shortly.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Franny used the cradle, or our bed, for the first 6 months, then switched to the crib. Isaac only lasted 5 months in the cradle. I love that cradle, but we need to pack it away soon. Now only the cat sleeps in it.
