Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I totally need someone to do makeup for me.

I want to see how I'd look with that heavy, smudgy Pussycat Doll look on my eyes.

I tried to do that, but I just looked like I'd lost a bar fight.

Same here. I think it's only meant for professionals to do.

I think it's a style of makeup that you have to have applied by someone else, not do it yourself. When I try it on other people, it looks great. When I try it on myself, I look like a happy panda.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Vortex, I think gold liner would be a glam, but not glaring, look on you. Especially if you paired it with a shimmery deep teal--just a hint of, mind.

Wish I were going to the F2F, because I'd bring my NARS Showgirl liner. I love the stuff, but I'm forced to admit that it works best on skintones deeper than fishbelly Scots.

As for cribs, well, we've managed maybe five hours of crib use in a year of having one. She slept in Susan's Amby for the first 7 months, then became a co-sleeper. Cribs now strike me as fairly useless, except for when you need somewhere to stack coats. I expect we'll be converting the thing to a toddler bed shortly.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Franny used the cradle, or our bed, for the first 6 months, then switched to the crib. Isaac only lasted 5 months in the cradle. I love that cradle, but we need to pack it away soon. Now only the cat sleeps in it.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Even though both our kids went from co-sleeper to crib at 4 months, we still only got 2 3/4 years out of the crib-to-toddler bed combo. I'm glad I only spent $300 on mine rather than $1300. We've taken Owen's down and are giving it to my niece. Liv will be in hers for another year and a half, if that.

Thrive to spite them

That crib is beautiful! I'd almost be afraid a baby would mess it up, gnaw it while teething or spit up on it.

I wasn't going to call my landlady back and just write a note in my rent, but I've discovered my air conditioner doesn't work. Which sounds horrible to complain about when others are having snow, but it was up to 80F today and I need one that works. However, I'm going to wait until Monday to call her. I need to change out the vents (they are dirty and I don't want her to blame me for that) plus I'm going to do some heavy duty cleaning before I let anyone in the house.

Thankfully I have several fans and all the windows for good crossventalation and at night it's fairly cool. It's still that time a year when long sleeves feel good in the morning.

Also, does anyone have any experience with TracFones or other pay as you go phones. I'm getting a cell phone (again my other broke) and from what I've read the tracfone plan is the best, I had Virgin before and hated it. Too MTV for me.

Oooh. Plus then she'll see that you can keep the place clean, and will probably take the 24 hour notice thing pretty well. Brilliant!

Let's hope so.
