I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Gronklies. Morning. Howdy.

LOVE the Cass+Jilli pic. Yum. I also love that I was automagically put in the bunk, even though I wasn't there. It's like you know me or something!

Love all the pics, actually.

Hec! You about? I need haircut advice.

DJ! Smooches for you, to bring you out of your bad mood!

Hugs for all the Bitches!

Thrive to spite them

I just got a phone call from my landlady. she was in my house - they are putting on a new roof and she went in to chek on something/

My house is cluttered, the bathroom is filthy and there was some dishes in the sink and some food trash out and she said she was appalled. It's not that horrible but she said if it didn't get clean and stay clean she wouldn't renew my lease in September.

So, I'm going to do a massive cleaning and really try to curb my ways. I'm sending out my rent check today.

I wanted to point out that she should give me notice before she comes in side, but it's a moot point. Now I'm worried that she'll drop in unannounced at some other time and there will be a tiny mess and she wont' renew my lease.

I'm surprised she hasn't mentioned the yard needs raking ( I really hate yard work). Part of me has actually been looking at apartment complexes and wondering what it would be like to live there, I've been here 2 years and I think I'm getting the urge to try something different. I do love having my own place and the house is cute but at the same time there are things about it I don't like.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

If you're renting why do you have to do yard work? Doesn't she have to give you notice? What if you were having a week where you were working 16 hour days, but totally intended to have it clean the next week?

I think my cranky is being redirected at your landlady. My house is crap right now, but the maid comes tomorrow. I imagine our landlady would be all, WTF? if she saw it, but she lives next door and knows it gets messy, but also knows it will be cleaned up.

::smooches juliana back::

The painters who were supposed to come Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday are finally here. I get to find out whether Vulcan Gray with a Mediterranean Blue door is really a good idea.

It's in the lease that yard work is my repsonsibility, it was my grandomther's when she lived here (she had someone come in and do the raking and mowing).

I'll be honest and say the clutter is really bad in my house, not collector bad but not great either. Maybe if it weren't cluttered she would have overlooked the state of the kitchen but since it was all that combined she got pissed at me treating the house badly.

I'm pretty sure she has to give notice, her mother actually owns the property and she only took over responsiblity when her mother went into a care facility so she doesn't have much experience being a landlady and at one point said she was thinking of hiring a management company.

A co worker said I should send a note with my rent saying she's free to drop by anytime to inspect the house as long as she gives me 24 notice.

The other thing is my rent is very low. It's $450/mth and they could easily get $700 or $800. So she may start thinking not renewing the lease is a good idea, or raising the rent on me is a good idea.

That's a good idea.

I'm glad it's a good deal. I just get a little pissy when it feels like I'm back living with my parents. I had a landlady at my first apartment who wanted to dictate whether or not I had boys over.

What is even happening?

askye, I'm sorry your landlord is being a PITA.

In totally unrelated news, Christopher is on the mend, but still home sick. Right now, he's in the living room singing, "I love you. I love you. I love you you you. You love I love you."

I am slain.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Catching up ...

Plei's hair is wonderful, Jilli and Cass are splendid, Em is adorable. Not news, but repeating what's been said.

And, considering Em's parents, she may well create a zombie army ... PINK zombies, possibly with tiaras.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

And, considering Em's parents, she may well create a zombie army ... PINK zombies, possibly with tiaras.

The problem is keeping them pink...even if the paint doesn't flake, the skin it's on does.

The tiaras, however, are no problem. Staple gun.
