Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Cash, we must be almost the same time! I dodged that bullet in favor of the Jackson 5.

Oh, dear heavens, I'm on the phone with my mother, and she is telling me about "Feature Films for Families" - some video(s) she was given that include not only harmless movies, but a "Parents' Discussion Guide" for each one. Not that this is a bad thing, but why, oh why is she reading the questions to me, AFTER my observation that the questions all sound like the ones that used to come with the stories in my elementary school reading books?

I think you should give her random answers like "42", "pomogranete , " the state of the universe" and "blue"

I must confess that these people caught me on the phone last month when I was really out of it, and I bought two children's movies. I haven't opened them yet, and I keep thinking of things I could have spent the $30 on.

I am pleasantly tipsy. And silly.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Number one on the day I was born was "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" by Marvin Gaye. A few days later, and it would have been "Crimson and Clover." (waves at -t)

Apparently my number one is Kiss and Say Goodbye. I know it not, which doesn't surprise me at all.

Well, it sure sounded like the movie was wholesome and enjoyable - no quarrel with folks wanting to watch them, and if thoroughly enjoyed, talk about about them. The real boggle is Mom reading me those questions, and continue reading them after I gave some hints - like saying "How terribly earnest," and "Sounds like the kind of questions they had after stories in my third grade reader".

On a happier note, I finally got to the post office to send her the moccasins I made her for christmas, she got them, and she is wearing them.

Okay, I know I've spent the better part of the last three days lying down, but seriously, is this how weak my muscles are? My back's getting sore from standing up for five minutes here!

Quick note to Robin--I'm heading out the door to run a couple of errands and then will start towards your place. I'm guessing I'll be there closer to 3:30, but I'll call you when I'm going down the hill.
