Actually not needing validation right now, but thank you.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Okay, I know I've spent the better part of the last three days lying down, but seriously, is this how weak my muscles are? My back's getting sore from standing up for five minutes here!

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Quick note to Robin--I'm heading out the door to run a couple of errands and then will start towards your place. I'm guessing I'll be there closer to 3:30, but I'll call you when I'm going down the hill.

Always Anti-fascist!

Kiss and Say Goodbye is another soul song...O'Jays, Hecubus? It's pretty, anyway. Nothing to be embarrassed about.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

(waves at Anne) If I ever get totally stuck about what do with my life, I'll come follow you around and do whatever you do but two weeks later.

Have you been sick, Emily, causing the lying down? The soreness could be sick-related achiness more than muscle weakness.

edited for dropped letters that help the sense be made

Had a cold the last few days. Feverish Thursday night, but it's been just a cold for the last two.

In the spirit of further procrastination, am checking off science vocabulary sheets. They're supposed to illustrate the word. One of my favorite students (strange, extremely hard-working kid) illustrated element ("a substance in which all the atoms are alike and which can't be broken," he says, which I think means he didn't read the whold sentence) with a rectangle labeled "Gold" which is saying, "You'll never break me!"

This is up there with "A History of Pie" in my favorites.

Oh my God, people, how much cereal are you going to force me to commit here? Right now I'm staring at the grading pile and summoning up the fortitude to discover why the physical science vocab sheet has a picture of a turtle on it. And... something that looks like a steam-powered pig.

Okay, false alarm. The livestock were legitimate.

Back to Mr. "You'll never break me!" The following dialogue accompanies his illustration of "odor":

Farts
"ahhhh too stinky! Gonna faint!"
"Get perfume!"

and this that of "luster":

"Ahhhh! I'm blinded! Ahhhh"

Oh dear. Another young gentleman's definition of "odor" has people standing in line, with another person telling them to "get in odor."
