Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Erin, if it makes you feel any better, I had the same reaction and bit poor P-C's head off the other day. It's all about the green-eyed monster, bay-bee!

Oh, good. Glad to know it's not just me.

Rozeram. I tried it Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's terrible. My sister had dr. samples, so I didn't have to pay for it, but it was really awful. Who thought it was a good idea? Ugh.

What everyone else has said, Aimee. The worst he can say is no to the severance pay (and since they've already agreed to the health insurance you'll not be worse off). I'm a little pissed off, for your sake, at the fact that you haven't heard from him for two weeks -- I hope he doesn't just ignore this, too. If he dares, I hope he can't sleep at night because of the guilty feelings.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

The worst he can do is say no, right?

He can't fire her again, can he?

He...can't, right?

Recent mommies and soon-to-be mommies. Where are your favorite places to get good, affordable maternity clothes?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Just had a convo with a MTB this weekend, and she raved about Target.

Something we should know?

:)

It's my SIL's birthday next week. And with me in my soon-to-be auntie status, I feel the need to know the best of the best places to buy gift certificates to keep the mommy happy.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Target is good, but it depends on the individual store -- some have an inexplicably lousy selection. Target.com is better. Motherhood.com is also good, and has a few nice nursing tops as well.

And, of course, there's always ebay.

Because books.

Aimee, I think the letter looks great. Fingers crossed he responds.

vw, I loved Target when I was pregnant with Sara. The Liz Lange stuff is affordable, a lot of it is mix and match, and stuff I would wear if it wasn't, you know, designed with a big belly in mind. She also designs some of the pants for both first trimester and right after birth, when you don't *quite* need maternity stuff but your regular stuff is too small.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Mine are all from Old Navy 'cause I'm cheap that way, but Destination Maternity probably has the widest selection.
