Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I forgot to mention that coming in when I was all stressed out and finding Matilda pictures was a lovely thing. It is so fun to see JZ, Hec, and Emmett in her expressions. Unconscious killed me ded.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Nora, that's hard-core real estate porn right there.

The sun's coming out and it's supposed to be in the high 60's today. I'm going to get the kids dressed and take them out in the back yard. It will be muddy, but not too bad, I think.

That's my favorite, too! Matilda is not only gorgeous, she has a PERFECTLY shaped little head, expressive eyes, porcelain skin and edible toes.

I know! I have been eyeing that place for open house opportunities. I MUST see inside! Perhaps I will acquire a monocle and a WASPy inflection and get an appointment to see it.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Oh, that is a beautiful piece of real estate, Nora.

I just heard back re. my friend. It is "only" a viral infection of her upper respiratory system. Given that they were thinking "blood clot in lung" this is actually good news. Given that she's pregnant and there's not much she can take to knock the infection out, the good news is somewhat qualified.

She is still utterly miserable. She's in her fifth month and has actually lost weight.

Oh, your poor friend, Anne. Continued ~ma for her to get through this misery. Glad everyone's stable at least though.

Our wings are not tired.

Good to hear it was a less scary problem. Quick recovery for her.

Health~ma to your friend, Anne. How very scary.

Migraine~ma, vw.

I looooove the real estate porn. I'm trying to imagine what the actual estate looks like, because that carriage house is HUGE. I can't go to our local parade of homes to often because my million dollar house envy turns me into a depressed mess.

Coffee is ready and I'm still sitting. This is all wrong.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm both glad and sorry for your friend, Anne. A viral infection is a miserable thing, especially with pregnancy-limited treatment options, but YAY that the baby is okay. How long will she be stuck in the hospital?

Matilda's on the couch with Hec right now -- I think they're watching Muriel's Wedding. She has been alternately incredibly dear and incredibly fussy lately, getting more and more frustrated with her own immobility. Last night she got utterly fed up with lying and sitting in our arms, and we spent half an hour swinging and swooping her around the living room, which made her positively giddy. She giggled and cackled and grinned like a mad thing, one fist jammed in her mouth being munched the entire time. Movement! Speed! So good!

Our wings are not tired.

It is so wonderful and we are so happy for the babies when they master the crawling, walking, and running. But then the chasing part begins. And they do get into so much more when they master the stacking and climbing. They get less frustrated, and we more.

I have avoided the weeding all morning, but now it must happen.
