Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Bitches, I have been out on the town, and I return to you not inebriated enough, but with hurty feet and a shaken rump. We hit some of the local hot spots, including one with a sexy guitarist who didn't see me completely staring at him and thinking lustful thoughts. It's also possible that I... um... danced on a pole...
Our dear Cashmere also put up with my text-message squeeing when they played Journey. FUNKY MOOSE!
Ailleann, which bar? Which band? I'm jealous. Also, the text was fuuuunneeeeeee.
I spent most of the evening moving furniture, sweeping up dog hair and mopping with Murphy's Oil Soap. Yippee.
I was at Lodge Bar, down in the Arena District, and I didn't catch the guitarist's name. I think he was supposed to be part of a whole band, but the rest of him wasn't there.
Then we went to Spice Bar, which was sooooo Euro for the middle of Ohio, and we didn't end up staying.
I kinda hate the club scene, and Cbus is not really that different, but it is nice to get my dance on.
Migraine. Puking. No sleep (since 2am). Crappy.
Happy Sunday Morning!
Yay, Aillean for getting your dance on.
Boo, migraine, for bothering vw.
Glad you had fun, Ailleann. The bar scene isn't very much here but there are rare moments when you find the perfect band in the perfect atmosphere that make it worth the effort.
vw, I hope you feel better.
Laura, I hope your MiL continues to improve. Much recovery~ma to her and calm~ma for you and Brendon.
Sean, I hope the liquid is the solution to your kitty medication problems. Me, I don't understand why they would even make pills for cats. It just doesn't compute.
and much ~m for Anne's friend! That is scary stuff. I hope she's ok.
Thanks, Cash. I'm still waiting to hear. She had a blood clot in her lung during her last pregnancy, so the doctors are
very
concerned. They'd put her on anti-coagulants during some previous pregnancies, but they're thinking that's what caused her to miscarry. She's five months along in this pregnancy, so the chance of miscarriage are much less, but still...
'Ma to her.
You know what gets me about the whole pill/liquid thing? That they make you go through all this before saying "or, we could give you a liquid." I've seen this with people doctors, too. Annoying.
That they make you go through all this before saying "or, we could give you a liquid."
That's what I was just thinking too!
Anne, so much ~ma for your friend.
