Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

You aren't supposed to drive more than 50 miles on a donut, I think.

Don't drive faster than 50mph is what I was told by AAA -- the guy didn't say anything about distance. (In fact, he seemed to think it was fine for me to drive all the way from Syracuse to NYC on a donut as long as I did it reeeeeeally slooooooooooowly. We asked him to recommend a motel near a tire shop instead.)

Now tagless for your comfort.

We had some neighbors that kept a donut on their car for about four months. I think we've had to use one for about three days once. But the speed recommendation is under 50 mph.

It's going to be in the 50's and sunny today and tomorrow. 66 degrees by Tuesday!

Isn't it awesome? We've got all the windows open, and I'm wearing SANDALS! Woo!

It's beautiful here today too!

What is even happening?

I don't think you're supposed to put too many miles on a donut spare, Jess, but it probably depends on the car and the make of tire.

Better, thank you! The rash continues to be annoying (no getting around that) but I'm less achy and itchy. I composed a letter to my doctor last night, which I may send tomorrow. I'm really hoping the rash doesn't last long. It will suck to travel with it.
Oh, I'm glad. Your doctor's service (or the on-call guy's service) really needs to differentiate between routine refillings of meds, and oh-I've-got-this-thing-my-doc-said-I-had calls. And your doctor was so short-sighted about the anti-virals.

They all make mistakes. If I liked the doctor well enough, I probably wouldn't leave, because it's hard to find a new one, but I sure would talk about it, and talk about the office practices that drive you batty, too. I've done that with our pediatricians more than once, and to their credit, they've been open to listening, and the problems usually seem to get addressed.

But if you've just had it, ask a doctor you do like (e.g., your OB or your kids' pedi) for a recommendation for a new PCP for you.

Why do I love the Spring Forward so much but hate the Fall Back?

Because you're a freak? I don't know. Did you always?

Pre-motherhood, I always preferred Fall Back, because I'd get an extra hour of sleep. When my kids were babies, the opposite happened, and I'd lose sleep in the Fall and gain it in the Spring (or at least they would -- because they didn't know from clocks).

Last night, I did not want to fall asleep on the couch, because my back is feeling better, and I want to keep it that way. I wasn't tired when dh went to bed (I blame the crappy little 6 ounces [if] of Pepsi I had with supper -- I know I can't do that any more, and yet...), so I stayed up, but I moved myself to the wing chair.

Yeah, so I got about 3.5 hours of sleep in the wing chair. Not the point, Cindy! The point of the wing chair was to make you take your arse to bed. So, when I woke up, I sat up for about 45 minutes, just to make sure my back, neck, etc., were going to be okay. Then I went upstairs to go to bed, went in to cover the kids, and realized it was closer to 6am than it was to 5am, so I just stayed up.

Everyone but me is at church, right now. My plan was to nap, but I'm not feeling nappy. On the upside, this should help me adapt to getting to sleep earlier, tonight, and up tomorrow at a decent hour. But gah, I'm that sort of non-sleepy tired where I'm going to be a useless lump, all day.

T had a date last night. How early is too early to call to find out how it went considering it's an hour earlier in Dallas and we did the spring forward last night?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

the donut on the view - 55 mph and 3000 miles. and DH said that even on the highway he didn't really notice it exceptin long sweeping lefthand turns.

Unless I know people are early risers, I don't call before 10

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Someone just called me and it was too early, but I am in PDT. It was a wrong number.

Glad he made it home safely, beth.

She's usually up and taking her morning walk by 9 at the latest, so I just called her now. She didn't answer.
