Everybody dies, Tracey. Someone's carrying a bullet for you right now, doesn't even know it. The trick is to die of old age before it finds you.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

She's usually up and taking her morning walk by 9 at the latest, so I just called her now. She didn't answer.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Rose is Rose is very Bitchly appropriate, today: [link]

What is even happening?

Hee! I figured it was going to be one of Rose, when she's having a biker-mom fantasy. Wrong!

That was adorable, -t.

sj, T isn't married? Was she married when she moved, or am I mixing her up with another friend? Is she your nephews' mom?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

-t, that is so fricking appropriate! I miss Rose is Rose, it was about the only reason I ever read our comics page in the local newspaper. They turn over too many strips in the dang thing, I gave up reading them.

Cash, glad to hear the rash is feeling better. Also glad to hear it's not on your face. I've got a friend who has one eye that doesn't dilate properly because she got shingles around her eyes. She sees fine, it's just the pupil never changes.

P-C, sorry about the shoulder, dude! That had to hurt.

I was supposed to go to church with my daughter this morning. I called her last night to confirm the time and to remind her to set her clocks forward. Can you see where this is going? Yeah, I was all ready to go a half hour early this morning and patting myself on the back because my daughter hates it when I'm late (I do too, but it's not my strong point), when I realised my half hour early was a half hour late. Bleaergh. So, I went for a latte and came home to start cleaning up the dining room. I will have a clear table today so I can do my taxes!

No, she's not married. She's the nephews' aunt, but she was a nanny to the older one while her sister worked. Everyone that sees her with them assumes their hers though. She just called me back. She's completely doomed. I'm happy for her. She's been alone a long time and the move has been hard on her.

Modern Alchemy

I guess I am going to have to get the Tincture of Winchester, huh?

(And what's up with "merigolds?" Is that an acceptable spelling?)

Also, hi all. I've been babysitting an additional toddler, so I'm wiped. I salute you Bitches who have multiple kids around the same age.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Thanks for the tips, Sparky! I love having a built-in librarian Buffistadom. You guys rock!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, it's official. Matilda now has a favorite song, "Happy Together" by The Turtles, and a favorite toy - the Girrafala.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oh, Plei, and other SPN sluuuts: there also something called "Tincture of Winchester" in this line. Hee.

That sounds really nice, actually. Like something I'd use.

Mmm. Smokey manly smells.

Could be worse. Could be Wheel in the Sky or Renegade. ("Styx?? Ourney?""
