Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Not all of us are raging, stupid assholes.

So true. Some of my best friends are skinny.

snerk (Sorry if there was any hint of tarring y'all with the same brush.) The brilliant thing about the Buffistas is the appreciation, enjoyment and love of the beauty of the many different kinds of bodies here, and the even more stellar ability of the whole community to approve of all the persons in it regardless of the states of their bodies.

Aimee, it's wonderful to see you posting. {{}}

WindSparrow, you could have helped that woman by telling her about a sure-fire method for her to get rid of inches her butt -- remove her head from her ass.

There is a conspiracy here at work. I think they had a meeting to which I was not invited and decided that today was the day they would no longer treat me like the new person and be nice. Suddenly, I'm buried in work.

Sean, I hate to say this, but pick a vet at random if need be and get that cat there, today.

The frequent urination (which sometimes appears more like constipation) is a big red flag symptom. Most likely it is just an infection, with inflamation and possibly some crystals forming up in the urinary tract, but if there is a blockage, the cat may have only a matter of hours.

When you get back from the vet, and Daniel is around, you can ask him how paranoid I get about how often Harvey goes into the litterbox, and whether or not I can hear a nice healthy stream of pee when he is in there.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I had an awful headache last night that had me hiding in bed trying to avoid light and sound. It feels like it's coming back. I have no idea how the migraine suffers function on a daily basis.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Aimee's home! And hopefully vegging out.

I do NOT have the walking pneumonia or consumption, but the dr wasn't quite sure what it was other than "one of those things going around right now." She gave me an anti-b scrip, which I'm not too wild about but it's been TWO AND A HALF WEEKS so there's something hanging in there. Tom had something similar that dogged him right through the month of January (which I forgot until he told me that he had the same anti-biotics to treat it.)

Anyway, thank you for all the advice and chest listening. I was sure to tell the dr. about my phlegm color and the walking pneumonia theory.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Glad you went to the Dr., Nora. I hope you feel better soon. Even if means taking the nasty anti-bs.

Sean, take the kitty in to a vet. It sucks but the alternatives suck more.

In cat news, Kittenish's last round of tests came back with her thyroid perfect so her meds are totally stable now. Still has a heart murmur but until I notice anything, she's not going to get a cardiologist as well.

Got an email from my dad that my uncle (with the same birthday as meeeeeeeeeee) wants to join us at the races in June. So I am going to lose my awesome tickets so I can get three together. But still, uncle (who also used to race so he Gets It)! And one I never get to see.

But, a moment of silence for my awesomesauce tickets. I will miss you...

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

two weeks is often the marker for non-feverish thing misbehaving. so I am glad you went.

and I am sure you will be all glad to hear that my hand muscles seem to be better than my arm muscles.

I am going to have to test my raking muscles soon.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

libkitty, I shall go out on the end of the Grand Canyon Skywalk and spin around for you! Then you will have been there in spirit.

Yeah! Cause it's the only way I'll ever get there.

I cannot, however, get you a raise in spirit. My powers of transferance are limited that way.

Bummer, but thanks for the thought!!

Also, a few days ago, I was posting about snow and records and skiing and visiting. I think it was in this thread. Anyway, ignore what I said. While I would love the company, this is not the time to visit. The snow has turned to snain (a term I had never heard before moving here), and we are having avalanche warnings in downtown, which is freaking me out a bit. I'm pretty sure where I work is ok, since it's a big building on a hill. At home, I'm not in a high avalanche danger area, but I'm about one block from it. And someone just told me that they're opening up a shelter. If it gets worse, I may take the afternoon off, go home to get kitties, and head over to a friend's place.

Email logged me out writing to the guy about race tickets. Email lost.

Even Cox wants me to keep my really good tickets, see? Sigh...

Off to rewrite it.

I am off to find me a fic to read once this is done. I deserve a treat. And I have no chocolate.
