libkitty, I shall go out on the end of the Grand Canyon Skywalk and spin around for you! Then you will have been there in spirit.
Yeah! Cause it's the
only
way I'll ever get there.
I cannot, however, get you a raise in spirit. My powers of transferance are limited that way.
Bummer, but thanks for the thought!!
Also, a few days ago, I was posting about snow and records and skiing and visiting. I
think
it was in this thread. Anyway, ignore what I said. While I would love the company, this is
not
the time to visit. The snow has turned to snain (a term I had never heard before moving here), and we are having avalanche warnings in downtown, which is freaking me out a bit. I'm pretty sure where I work is ok, since it's a big building on a hill. At home, I'm not in a high avalanche danger area, but I'm about one block from it. And someone just told me that they're opening up a shelter. If it gets worse, I may take the afternoon off, go home to get kitties, and head over to a friend's place.

Email logged me out writing to the guy about race tickets. Email lost.
Even Cox wants me to keep my really good tickets, see? Sigh...
Off to rewrite it.
I am off to find me a fic to read once this is done. I deserve a treat. And I have no chocolate.
Ok, just double-checked the avalanche maps. I'm definitely about a block from the danger zone, which is good. But I also checked the avalanche warning (before I had just heard from others). Apparently, on a danger scale that is normally 1-4, we're at a 5.
Meep.
And I have no chocolate.
This is just wrong, Cass. You definitely need fic to make up for it.
I smell sausage. Someone in this office is very, very cruel.
And I have no chocolate.
You could go
get
chocolate, y'know. And talk to Someone.
{{{Aimée}}}
And it's official. This has been the snowiest winter in Juneau since they started recording. Yeah?
You could go get chocolate, y'know. And talk to Someone.
Good point.
"Yes, I would like a marion berry, an earl gray, a few of the dark caramels and ... yes, you. To go."
libkitty, that's scary! Stay out of the avalanche zone!
Yay for Nora going to the doctor!
Boo for clueless people giving weight loss advice. It's like when the doctor asks me if I know smoking is bad for me. "No! Are you SERIOUS?! Where did you hear that?!"
At least with the doctor , it is his/her job. They aren't trying to be your friend. However, the real question shoud be something like... would you like some help trying to quit/
no avalanche
stay safe libkitty! Be sure to check in so we don't worry about you!
