[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Go be sick, Vortex! Though really, you should use the sick hours for not being sick, more fun that way.

heh. I've decided that i'm going to start taking days off when I have doctor's appointments.

and Teppy, you should send that article to the guy who accused you of changing the meaning of his stuff. Nobody can argue with the New York Times.

Happy Birthday, Mal!

My brain and juliana's and MM's are all sharing space right now. No way you could get me onto a glass viewing platform. Hell, you can't even get me into the spinny tower thingie at SeaWorld because the glass slants away from me and I'm afraid I'd fall out a closed window. I stayed in a hotel where the windows were floor to ceiling and I made my mother sleep in the bed closest to the window. Well, gravity sucks, doesn't it and what's to stop a window from it grabbing me and throwing me down, down, down, down? ::shut up, lizard brain:: Doesn't explain my love for rollercoasters that throw me upside down, willy-nilly, though. That, I can handle.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

urg. I've had this sore throat/coughing up stuff/ hacking cough/ chest congestion (??) (it feels tight) for over 2 weeks now. It's not going away, but it's not bad enough to stay home or call the doctor or whatever. It's very annoying. I want it to go away OR manifest into a full out sick thing and then go away. The range of the ookiness varies as well, from day to day and throughout the day.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

wow! lots happening!

Aimee, any hugs and ~ma for you and your family is yours. Wish I could do something that could help.

Kind thoughts for Sean and S - knees are troublesome. Best wishes for pain killers and mobility.

Steph, that ... stuff ... you posted. I've read things written by people with no writing skills that was more coherent (one guy tended to leave out verbs and was more coherent). Have you seen the t-shirt that says "Bad Grammar Makes Me [sic]"?

Good wishes to Emily on finding a place that appreciates her. Best wishes to Hec and JZ for recovering their music!

Happy birthday to Mal! The Buffista babies are growing up!

And in mememe news, I got a new cell phone - it's RED. The kids at the store laughed when I pulled out my old one. bah!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAL!!!!

I think I could probably get myself out on the the viewing platform. I'd be sweating the whole time, and not inclined to stay out there very long, but I think I could do it.

I've been forcing myself to confront my height fear for a while now, because of work.

Although the 30' high grid is maybe a little different than 1,200' to the canyon floor.

Trust my rage

What amazes me is that you and I were both pregnant when he was born. How was that two years ago???!?

Yeah, that too. There was a 4 week old baby at work today and I just couldn't stop looking at how tiny he was. When Ellie is still asleep in the mornings, I look at her and I'm just shocked, every single day, at how big she is.

Now tagless for your comfort.

There are two sit & stand type strollers on sale on Craigslist. I'm trying to decide if I really want to buy another stroller at this point.

brillig

I have been on the CN tower. I stood on the panels. I would go out on that skywalk. I love heights--though I have to be always mindful that the voice that says "Go ahead, you'll be able to fly" is not my friend.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I went up the Space Needle when I was in Seattle and got a little freaked out partway up. Did manage to walk around and look, but I was careful not to get too close to the edge.

Later, I was telling someone about it and they asked me why I didn't just get out partway up ... I had to explain that there's the top and the ground and not really anything in between.
