Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Trust my rage

What amazes me is that you and I were both pregnant when he was born. How was that two years ago???!?

Yeah, that too. There was a 4 week old baby at work today and I just couldn't stop looking at how tiny he was. When Ellie is still asleep in the mornings, I look at her and I'm just shocked, every single day, at how big she is.

Now tagless for your comfort.

There are two sit & stand type strollers on sale on Craigslist. I'm trying to decide if I really want to buy another stroller at this point.

brillig

I have been on the CN tower. I stood on the panels. I would go out on that skywalk. I love heights--though I have to be always mindful that the voice that says "Go ahead, you'll be able to fly" is not my friend.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I went up the Space Needle when I was in Seattle and got a little freaked out partway up. Did manage to walk around and look, but I was careful not to get too close to the edge.

Later, I was telling someone about it and they asked me why I didn't just get out partway up ... I had to explain that there's the top and the ground and not really anything in between.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

How many Space Needle-ish things are there? Besides the Space Needle and the CN Tower, there's one in Las Vegas. But a while back I had heard there were four such structures (technically they're not buildings) throughout the world.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

urg. I've had this sore throat/coughing up stuff/ hacking cough/ chest congestion (??) (it feels tight) for over 2 weeks now. It's not going away, but it's not bad enough to stay home or call the doctor or whatever. It's very annoying. I want it to go away OR manifest into a full out sick thing and then go away. The range of the ookiness varies as well, from day to day and throughout the day.

That almost sounds like walking pnuemonia. Not to worry you unduly.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

My company just leased space on the 52nd floor of our building. (I'm on the 3rd floor). I should go and take pictures.

phlem talk! it's been pretty light yellow colored but over the past day or so it's gone green . Edit- but as with everything else, it is not consistant at all.
