Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Gone for the weekend. Quick ketchup.

Billytea and the WallyBiyi are so heartwarming. I don’t know if my family understood how pleased I was to see the update. You deserve each other and this lifetime of happiness.

{{S&S}} Quick fix vibes sent your way. Also, lack of pain vibes. How awful to not be able to get the appropriate meds.

I don’t even know what I can possibly say about Teppy’s newletter. Speechless. Um, maybe checking out some of Tom Scola’s links and moving would lead to finding a more literate group where your editing skills would be appreciated?

Hec, computers suck. The hardware failures, and the software failures, and the stupid time change crap that doesn’t work right, and operating systems that are 834,785 updates away from being functional. Grrrrr.

Thieves also suck. It is beyond my understanding how people can take cash from cards mailed. These types of incidents may not be life changing harms, but it brings out my desire to be a hermit and avoid all the screwed up people out there. Yes, it needs to be reported because it didn’t happen to just one person.

I'm feeling a lot of not-good-enough-ness.

Emily, you are so much more than this. I know that this job has drained your spirit and I am so sorry. What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger? After you have moved into the right position I know I will read a post from you that says, “I fucking rock at this job!” Because you will in the right place.

Nora! Go to Ireland. Say hi to my people!

In Laura news, my sister Mona from Otter Lake is visiting. She arrives about noon today on my coast. Tonight I have volleyball and baseball. Tomorrow orthodontist for both boys. Thursday MIL has surgery. Friday Mona flies out. I wish I could say any other week was less hectic. Oh well, she is likely to be on the beach a bunch.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Birthday, Mal!

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Birthday to Mal! I want to see cake smooshing pictures, now.

Mostly lurking...

Happy Birthday, Mal! WOW! Time flies!

I just helped one of my neighbors get her groceries home. I'd never met her before, but she was struggling, so I ran up to catch up with her and offered to help her (I was worried with all the snow and stuff). She looked at me and said, "You're the girl with the little dog! We love that dog! And you clean up after him. We like that." It was so cute. She was such a sweetie.

Glass viewing platform over the Grand Canyon, anyone?

[link]

Yeah, I get vertigo just thinking about it. The height graph at the end of the article is an eye-opener for scale, though. I knew the canyon was big, but holeeeeee crap!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Glass viewing platform over the Grand Canyon, anyone?

Oh hell the fuck no. My vertigo/fear of falling is bad enough - I don't need to push it.

Happy birthday, Mal!!!

I had to skip, but many hugs to Emily and anyone else who needs 'em.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The observation deck on the CN Tower in Toronto has glass floor panels. Try as I might, I could not get myself to walk on them. It was weird - it was as if my body just refused to do what my brain told it to do.

Trust my rage

First, Happy Birthday, Mal! Hard to believe it has been two years. Princess Tickybox is next, I think.

ImemememeN, I got semi-offered a position as Trial Attorney today. My future supervisor's boss still has to approve it, and he could always say no, but I'm the top pick right now. I'm so excited and also so nervous that I could throw-up. This is the first time in my entire life that I have been offered a job in a field that I really wanted. Even if I weren't always following Joe around the world, I would still want this job. I had to semi-promise to be there three years, but I think I can do that.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Birthday, Mal!
