I'm sitting at home today not doing much for the first time in a long while. It feels quite nice. I did have to go out for a bit because my hard drive died a scary death. It's currently in the shop going through data recovery. I hope to heaven that they can get the main stuff off that I want. I was bad and haven't backed up in over a year. I know, I know.

We escape for a day or so. up to wine country to spend the night . aT 7 am we were woken by bagpipes. I guess there is a parde every year in Heladsburg at 7 that ends at a local bar. - Participants out number the watchers.

As dear Brendon says, it was the longest one night stand of his life.

Laura, that's so sweet! DH often refers to our relationship as "the one night stand that lasted forever."

Went to the comic shop to buy Buffy Season 8 and came home empty handed. They were sold out. I'm consoling myself with a Cadbury Dairy Milk bar.

however , we did over hear a man who was sure the airlines were pulling one over on him. He was supposed to fly out tonight to NY. flight canceled , late monday is the best they could do. He was sure they was some flight that no one wanted to take so there would be room for him. He seemed completely unable to understand that none of the planes were where they were supposed to be and that there were actual real people that had been stranded in airports. and there was another woman that butted in - trying to expalin to him that her husband had been trying to get somewhere for the last two days- and that the man should just enjoy the fact that he was in a nice place with 75-80 degree temperatures - and why worry about going to a work meeting in a cold, icy place.

however, last nights overheard converstaion was the best. As I said we were in wine counry and at a very nice restaurant. One woman:
