Good morning, everyone!
Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Good morning, Anne. Were you here when we were discussing your hair as the one true haircut and searching for pictures?
No! I've been skippity-skim girl of late. I can't check the board from work.
Cindy was looking for haircut pictures like her sketch and someone suggested that your hair was the perfect cut. Pictures were posted. Admiration expressed.
What time is it where you're at? The board is three hours behind me. It's almost 9 here.
I'm in New Jersey; it's 9:40 am here. You're in Boston, right? Three hours behind, then. Thanks!
Yup! Perfect! We're in the same timezone. Go us! or something...

Thank you! I will be sure to tell my hairdresser. She'll be thrilled. I basically give her free rein to do what she wants with my hair, and I'm never disappointed.
Top o' the Timelies to you!
Happy Holtz Day!!!
I hope your anniversary is lovely, Laura.
Well, we had a whole lot of snow here yesterday. Once it started, it really never tapered off (during waking hours) so Scott put off shoveling. I tried to nudge him toward it last night, because we knew it was likely to turn to rain at some point, and that makes for heart attack and back-muscle-spasm snow. He was un-nudgeable.
This morning, I told him to call John -- the mason we used to fix part of our garage last summer -- because he plows in the winter. You kind of have to wait for him to show though, and that could have meant all day without being able to get the cars out -- and that's assuming we got through to John.
I looked out the window, and some guy was just finishing up plowing a house kitty cornered from ours, and then went to plow our next door neighbor's drive. So I hustled Scott out the door with the checkbook in hand -- insisting he ask this guy to plow us.
Now, our drive is very narrow, with big fieldstone retaining walls on either side. All the plowing we hoped for was merely scooping out as much of the end of the drive behind the last car in -- you know, getting rid of all the real heavy stuff, where the town plow had plowed us into the driveway.
But no, somehow, this guy got it clear enough that Scott could move the two cars, and he did a whole bunch (he couldn't do it all, because our old car -- which we still have to get the title for, so we can donate it to charity) is sitting there too, but still. He did a whole heck of a lot.
The price? $30.00. Either one of us could blow that amount just going out for milk and bread. I'm feeling all smart-wife today. There might be something to this nagging.

Anne, actually, I'd been thinking about emailing you and asking for pictures of your hair, but it made me really self-conscious. Beverly is the one who twigged to the fact that what I really wanted was your haircut. Sadly, I didn't get the picture in time for the haircut. My hairdresser cut it shorter than I wanted, but it's okay. Hair grows. Next time, I'm totally taking your picture to the salon.
Happy Anniversary, Laura and Brendon!!! I didn't realize today was the big day.
Cindy, you are so VERY smart! That's awesome!
The more dates you have to celebrate each year the better.
TOTALLY! We celebrate the Kissaversary as well as the Elopement Day. It's nice to have 2 times a year (May and October) that we are really motivated to do something special.
My sincere wish is that you are able to have a more worthy wedding day a whole lot sooner than 12 years from now. Having been married 3 times it upsets me more than I can express that everyone isn't allowed to express their love and commitment this way.
Also totally.
I did go home, and Tom and I were safely tucked in at home by 2pm, and when the snow really started coming down. SO HAPPY I went home. My decision was made much easier when my friend emailed me suggesting we postpone till next week.
I have to write a paper today. Sigh.
