Right, David. Again, the circumstances and laws for small private company vary hugely from large, public companies.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
You know what sucks most about all of this? The thing that enrages me beyond reason the most?
Because of the circumstances...because she has to be in Michigan for this while I have to stay in California and then go to Arizona tomorrow...because of all this I can't hold my wife!!
When she most needs me to be there, when she most needs something to support her, WHEN SHE NEEDS ME THE MOST...I CANNOT be there!
GODS DAMN THIS WORLD AND ALL THE EVIL IN IT! GODS DAMN IT TO THE WORST HELL THAT HUMANS CAN IMAGINE!
I just want to hold my wife and daughter and make it all better.

Correct. However, if it's indeed a "re-org", the laws are different. VERY different.
They can just say they're eliminating the position - which sounds like what they're doing. They're probably outsourcing her responsibilities.

Yeah.

The sheer kerfuckityness of this situation is boggling.

Completely.
All -ma for all of you.
Aimee, you've got all my ~ma, prayers, thoughts, and love. I'm so so sorry.
Miracleman, you're good stuff.
Yo, folks who are on my LJ friendslist -- go check my LJ, por favor.
It sounds like what happened to my "son" a couple of weeks ago--though not really. Walgreens wants to redevlop the stretch of land his current job is on, so their rep approached his boss and offered to buy the whole shebang. Oodles of money, enough to pay off all his debts plus a quarter of a million more. No one blames him, but it's kind of a shock to be told, "I've sold the building and they're ripping it down, we're all out of jobs in two weeks."
